Since I saw this series of videos the first time a couple of years ago, I became a consistent Barista and I feel professional and obsessive and happy doin what others think is not important... Thank u my friend.

Somewhere picked up the habit to clean the group head and shower screen after every shot on my home machine, good to know it has a benefit, now just to backflush after each session

I use a nickel to unscrew the screen. Fits the screw slot perfectly and doesn't mar it up like screwdrivers.

coins are about the most dirty thing you can find. Why you put that in your coffee brewing equipment?

Really true and practical guide. And i enjoyed how minor looking problems are addressed properly. good work. could you also do an episode on different tampers. i came across the problem when we had a flat and concave tamper in my shop and they seem to be different.

I've just seen this video and I've got a doubt, will you mind clarifying that for me please?: In regards to the groups cleaning, Gwilym says you should wash the shower during 8 seconds every time, and wait 8 seconds to do it again, why do you wait those 8 seconds instead of repeating the procedure again immediately? THANKS IN ADVANCE,

you have to wait the 8 seconds when you're also using the white powder, and you have to wait an extra 8 seconds for the powder to do it's thing and after that you can flush it out.

Why are you jiggling the handle when back flushing? Firstly you are releasing and closing pressure which is not only dangerous to the operator of being showered in hot water it is also not allowing the machine to actually back flush... and you are also wearing your seals / rubbers out quicker than they should.

I dunno but I must to doubt the thesis your coffee does not tase like chemicals after cleaning your machine using the white powder. I have a very different experience. It makes me crazy and feel sorry about all wasted coffee beans and all the work farmers and other people invested into my coffee when I pour the sixth or seventh shot after cleaning my machine and this foreign taste of chemicals is still present in the cup. Am I the only one? Can I do anything about?

+Petr Polák HI, maybe it is the chemical you use, I have not had the problem after rinsing the machine. I can understand your frustration, that is a lot of coffee to waste

+Petr Polák Hi Petr, I find Puly Caf to be the most gentle, I use just a little bit less than the manufacturers say but use it more often
