How to clean and lube your S&W Shield Plus - QUICK AND EASY 

Its actually a velcro patch I put on there for grip on my support thumb

@@dogisrain i would try just racking the slide to remove it if the trigger does not work to take the slide off.

Not really but I did use the shim that came with the optic. Thanks for supporting our channel!

@@BlackBearOutdoors thanks. I guess it was meant to be like that to accommodate the shim. Might file my lugs down a bit to be flush.

@@Supremebean303 Are you 100% sure you used the correct screws that came with the optic? I believe there are a number of screw sets and one marked S&W

@@BlackBearOutdoors I did use the smith & Wesson labeled screws. It’s not a giant problem that doesn’t affect the sight. Just annoying.

I usually clean mine every 500 rounds or so or depending on how dirty the ammo is, I may do it more.
