Seems like one a year I have to deal with my drain pipe clogging so I jumped on here to search for a solution and I must say this is the BEST SOLUTION for keeping the drain clear of clogging. Simple setup that will save us money, time & headache in the long run. Thank you for making this video man. Cheer's!!

I put together something similar to this today, inspired by this video. Spent about $20 in parts + primer and glue. I was flushing the line by removing the line and duct taping a garden hose to the end of it every few months, but that got old and was very messy. This works a LOT better! Thanks for the inspiration.

Top shelf video here. I followed it to a T and I was done in under 15 mins. No more dragging my wet/dry vac outside to suck the pipe out which did ok, but not like a water flush. Theres another video on here of a guy selling a similar setup for 49.99. Im not knocking small business, but if i can diy and save cash, im all in!

I'm a professional web marketer -- part of what I do for a living is shooting & producing video clips for business websites - THIS video is a superb example of how to do a "how to do" video correctly - WHY? SO many things were done right -- 1) shows & tells PARTS needed upfront (plus includes list in video description box) -- 2) includes safety warning - "turn unit off before___" -- 3) background music not distracting (simple instrumental - no complex changes, no vocals) -- 4) ideal voice to music audio mix (approx. 80% voice / 20% background) -- 5) voice loud and clear, well paced timing -- 6) voiceover process description includes additional helpful "tips & advice" (mark valve open/close, don't glue final connection outside, etc.) -- 7) video clearly framed & focused (not too wide/far away or too close --8) no fast side-2-side panning, abrupt in/out zoom, shaky up/down (assume tripod and/or GoPro type cam held super still was used) --9) slow boring parts of the process sped up (speed increased 2X or more in post production) -- 10) good total time length - not 90 seconds (too short) or 9 minutes (too long) -- 11) nice personal connection at end (face filmed, speaking directly to viewer) -- 11) proper promotion (please comment, subscribe/follow + links provided to Facebook, Google, share, etc.) -- Congrats on this video....VERY well done AND very helpful......I'm off now to fix MY drain problem YOUR way!

I was skeptical at first but once you explained everything, it made perfect sense and looks like a great plan. I use a clean out tee over a p trap followed by a union. I shove a round brush down the clean out tee to break up solids, pour some water to flush the and then blow it out with a gallo gun and a CO2 cartridge. Your idea is great for a crawlspace, basement or single story, not sure how well it would work in a attic.

Great Idea! I need to make this mod for my mother-in-laws AC unit. She had a problem with her AC and it turned out that the drain line need to be flushed. She had a AC guy come out. When I took a look at her line it did not have open line to flush out the dirty clogged drained. My own has access but I will had your design to mind and hers. Great video!

We live in Florida and the condensate lines always clog every 3-4 months. We have replaced the ceiling multiple times because of overflow. This solution worked great and the gunk that came out was awful. No wonder it was overflowing. I highly recommend this to anyone with frequent problems
@smc130
@smc130 3 года назад
You do an excellent step by step demonstration that even a 71 year old grandmother can follow. We have developed a chronic draining issue with one of our a/c drains that caused the unit to shunt down every couple of months in the summer. I’m convinced the design is flawed and we have been told to only use vinegar in the drain line because bleach will degrade the aluminum drain lines. If you can suggest another liquid we might use that would work longer than vinegar, please do. My husband is 75 and hot attics are not a good for him. Thank you.
