To clean a fish aquarium without removing the fish you must use a gravel vacuum or siphon. First start by removing some of the aquarium water. As the water level drops in the fish tank you can then start to clean the decorations and algae off of the glass. You can use a small brush or small foam pad to clean all those decorations or glass. You should never remove the aquarium fish from the tank itself. That will stress the fish out and they will most likely get sick or die.

Once you have removed around 30% of the aquarium water you can then add new water. You can use the water straight out of your Fossett if you use a dechlorinator. There are chemicals such as chlorine or chloramine in your city water supply and that’s why we use aquarium dechlorinator.
You should never remove the aquarium fish while cleaning the aquarium. I always leave the fish within the aquarium so that they don’t get stressed or die. It is very easy to clean the aquarium while leaving the fish inside of the tank.
