How To Clean & Ceramic Coat Car Windows - Streak Free!

Learn how to clean car windows without streaks! In this video I show you my preferred method of how to clean the inside of your windshield, as well as deep cleaning the outside of the glass. Once cleaned and polished, I also apply a ceramic coating CARPRO FlyBy FORTE. The coating improves visibility, especially during rainy weather, by repelling raindrops.

CARPRO FlyBy FORTE instructions:
1. Polish the glass with CARPRO CeriGlass, preferable by machine polisher, or polish very well by hand rayon block.
2. Clean surface free of oils with CARPRO Eraser.
3. Pour a few drops over the supplied cotton pad.
4. Apply in circular motion all over the glass and do not wipe off.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. Using the same applicator (but no additional product) once again repeat step 4 buffing the FORTE in until the surface is dry and 100% transparent and clear.
7. After entire windshield is coated, apply Flyby FORTE to the wiper blades and leave wipers off of the glass for at least 10 minutes.
8. For side windows only 1 layer is needed.
9. Keep surface dry for 4 hours with no wiper blades for 24 hours.
Note: I prefer to apply FORTE in horizontal and vertical line, followed up by circular motions to ensure even coverage. Avoid applying over rubber trim or to the paint. If product contacts paint or rubber wipe off with wet microfiber towel immediately.

Question for you: Magic eraser on the interior windows scares me with window tint. I know the trick with magic eraser is to have a wet surface and sponge, but have you experienced any scratching or other issues with window tint and magic eraser?

ye I have fly by and used it and it is good...but if you want spectacular and much longer lasting just use cquartz 3.0 on the glass.....its amazing and actually easier to apply then fb40.

Great video! I'm always hesitant to buy any sealant for my windshield because I feel like the wipers will blow through any protectant after a couple uses.

With proper prep and a good sealant or coating it will take quite awhile before they break down if you are looking for a good cheap route I highly recommend griots glass sealant. Super good quality for the price and lasts for quite awhile. Forte by carpro is solid as well for the one he is using but comes at a higher cost of course.

very cool, the application is pretty much same for every glass sealant but that buffing out with this small applicator seems lot of work, does it turn "clear" quick? Do you need to give it pass with fresh microfiber to remove some left residue? Adding voice to your videos was cool, thanks

You have to buff it a little bit before it becomes completely clear. Sometimes there will be a little bit of residue left, especially in the corners, but you can just lightly wipe these off with a towel. Thanks for the support Lukas!

With the new version of FlyBy FORTE, polishing is not required. But you can use the handapplicator which comes with the CeriGlass kit if you’d like.

Thanks Samuel. I always do at least a light polish, just to be sure there is nothing left on the glass. Some dealerships use water repellent glass cleaners and that might interfere with the coating.

Thanks for letting me know I’m going to try and get them to leave the car alone and just deliver it to me as is so they don’t mess up the paint lol, thanks again
