How To Clean Cymbals Groove Juice 

Excellent product! I bought this yesterday and it gave my older Zildjian A's a very thorough deep cleaning right down into in the grooves. I also used a nylon brush to help lift out some old green discoloration that had obviously been there for years, and now the metal surface looks like it was lathed yesterday! Everyone online is way too worried about their "logos" in my opinion. I believe "logos" don't make them sound any better. My 16" rock crash did not have the logos affected at all by the cleaner, but the nylon brush did fade them a little bit. I'm ready to polish them right off with the Zildjian cymbal polish that I bought along with the cleaner. A five-gallon bucket made a handy cleaning support for them in my bath tub, and there weren't any noxious fumes at all. I did wear nitrile gloves as recommended by the manufacturer though. Overall, an excellent CLEANER for the green nastiness that seems to grow over time into the grooves. POLISH is the next step, if desired.

Cheers brendan...I've used Zildjian cymbal cleaner on Jeaics cymbals, kinda like brasso job, bit of work but does work, not as easy as this one though.

I used groove juice one time never again! My first good cymbal I ever had a zildjian z custom, was so in love with it I used groove juice it took the logos right off, no force or left sitting, took it right off and didn’t make it look much better (not sure if it’s for brilliant finish or not)

Hey, thanks for the tips! Do you know anything about the effect of Groove Juice on unlathed cymbals or traditional finish? I imagine it works fine on the latter but I have an Istanbul Agop Sultan crash which is half lathed and I'm wondering whether this kind of treatment will be a bit harsh for the unlathed sections. Cheers!

How often would you suggest this be done? I'm the leader of my cymbal section in a marching band and we use Groove Juice. We rehearse 6 hours a week outdoors, so sweat and oil from the hands makes keeping them shiny an interesting venture.

Greta vid. Have you tried using painters tape instead of electrical tape? It seems that the stickiness of electrical tape will take some paint off when you remove the tape afterwards. I just purchased Groove Juice yesterday and looking for tips on using it. Thank you!

Groove Juice doesn't remove logos! Been using it for years and it has never harmed any logo on 30+ cymbals. It even says it doesn't harm them on the back of the bottle except in extremely rare cases. Likely only on very old (pre war) cymbals made before modern inks.

I have found that groove juice works good on Zildjian A Cymbal‘s but not K‘s. Leaves a bit of discolouration.

This shit strips your cymbal and will make them turn orange I used it and had to send my cymbals to get refreshed at Sabian and that didn't work either so basically have to deal with the tarnish or just get different cymbals .

That looks like painters tape. Not electrical tape
