Thank you for making this, it’s too late for me but I’m sure some will find this very helpful. Small story, 7 years ago I had a flood, needed to replace the flooring and the washer/dryer needed to be moved too. I made the mistake of “hiring” a neighbour’s kid to take it out of the cubicle it was in (this said cubicle barely fit two front loaders stacked vertically and I’ve been told by a specialist that it is a fire hazard) and when he put them back in he not only left the exhaust duct disconnected he bent the exhaust pipe on the dryer! Naturally I don’t notice this and I give him his $120. I never thought to take it out to clean it, it’s such an inconvenience and there’s a duct there anyway, right? Fast forward to 2 weeks ago my hallway is filled with smoke and my dryer is telling me to call service. Friend and I take it out and we discover the hires failures, and dear God. Dust. Everywhere. All the little vents on the back of the dryer are clogged with dust so thick you can tug on it; like insulation. And the cubicle? Caked with dust, had to buy a new mop (to clean the walls of course), a spare part for my vacuum and filled a 35l bag up with just lint.
So you’re not going to worry about the duct going to the outside? Might wanna do some homework on how to properly clean a dryer duct system if you think what you did is enough.
or you can use a radiator or a drying rack or a washing line or literally any surface that you can put clothes on these things require no maintenance little fixes and no fires!
You need to stop putting these kind of videos on. You have no idea what you're talking about and you're misinforming people and could cause house fires. I am a certified dryer exhaust vent expert and you are doing it completely wrong. Please please stop with your ignorance
