I just bought a new leather jacket. Is it a good idea to wash it before i condition/waterproof it for the first time or should I just condition/waterproof it?

definitely wash it. don't forget to also let it sit outside in a thunderstorm for extra protection. i would also drive over it with my car. rumor has it that it helps spread the oils across the jacket more evenly.

Really. Why don't they just get to the point? I was expecting him to give details of why the animals who unwillingly gave their leathers are quadrupeds. And one of the secrets to cleaning fine leathers is to buy a cleaning lotion off the shelf.
