Time and time again I come back to use your vids as a reminder of what I need to do. From descaling to cleaning up the needles I didn't know about the k-cup twist so you can get access underneath. On a side note... Ever since I started taking this new med I've found myself wanting to clean my kitchen equipment more (either that or old age) 😏 Your vids help ty I hope you inspire another person to provide other details for fixing or whatever else inside. I hate when these pieces of equipment break and most people just want to buy new I was always taught by my parents to be frugal and fix the fixable and toss the money pit items. I hope more people think like you and start a niche YT channel to be a expert in what they do (plus making money on the side always helps 😉)

That fixed it! My symptoms were 1) nothing coming out with kcup and 2) seem to work fine without kcup. It was the bottom needle! Thanks!

I really appreciate all your information on this model for I had said in a previous video of yours that I purchased the K Supreme last weekend. I purchased mine at Kohl’s at an excellent price of just under $107.00. With Kohl’s sale price, along with having a $10.00 coupon and having a 30% discount deducted I was thrilled and over the moon with my purchase total. I hope that when it comes time for me to clean my needles I can do it with confidence like you showed because taking/pulling that a-part like you did I may be worried about breaking something or not being able to take it off. Very helpful, easy to understand video! I was getting the descale message after owning this model 9ish months. I had the cleaning/descaling starter kit but found the directions vague and realized after watching your descaling video that I had not done it correctly. I misplaced my owners manual so didn’t put it in descaling mode at all. Now I will give cleaning the needles a try…thanks so much❣

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

Thanks for the video. My machine is always clogging at least once per month. I think I am going back to the original machine without the multi-stream. I think the taste is the same and the single stream never clogged up and brewed faster!

I was using K-cups from the big A brand and coffee was spilling all over. Finally I realized that the K-cups worked with Keurig 2s, but not with K Supreme. I bought K-cups with the Keurig name on the labels and everything works properly now.

Even thought I have this model I did not know about the 8 and 12 button to push. I would run the solution thru like I thought I should. Descale button never went off…why? Duh…I did push the two buttons to put it in descale mode…thank you so very much for you easily understood Visio…I am now descaled🥰

Wow, really! I tossed my first Keurig probably for this very reason, but I must say I'm even happier with my K-Supreme with bigger reservior. Thank you for posting your descaling video. My unit didn't come with any instructions so I never would have known to press and hold the 8 & 12 buttons to get started🎉 Also, instead of using a paperclip to push thru the needles to clean them, i used G-U-M brand plaque cleaners for my teeth that I had on hand and what a mess of coffee came out in the bristles 😮 which easly rinsed off and I ran it thru again to be sure clean. Thank you so much for doing these video' for us "Dad"!

Mine was totally clogged in that needle in the cup thing, I took it out pulled it apart and used a sewing needle to poke thru there and blew thru it and a blob of stuff came out and now it blows right thru, reassembled and its working great again. Crisis averted!

Great information. I take a sprayer bottle mix of vinegar water and spray the entire top and bottom area and let it drip into a cup. And of course let dry. Makes a difference in taste. I find it interesting in taste of the K Cup coffee. Using same brand it is interesting how each cup can taste different

We used an air compressor (the kind you use for computer keyboards and screens) and blew through the bottom needle, rather than using the paperclip. Worked like a charm! Thanks for pointing us in the right direction, though. Much appreciated!

(want to try to do it myself before calling a plumber) and lose the "Just" in your name...

So these videos really help me keep up with the maintenance ! We make alot of ice coffee in the summer ! I am still not sure what exactly the " ice button " does any different or better than regular brewing ?? What is the difference ? Also how often should those needles be cleaned? Thanks !

I did everything with the paperclip, cleaned it out with the toothbrush and everything and it still no powered to it. No when you plug it in the power, don’t come on so evidently it’s something else. Thank you for the help.

Self cleaners when you push the eight and 12 together and then hit the K middle button and that’s for the scaling and you add vinegar to the reservoir then you rinse it out a couple times filling the reservoir with clean water twice

Thinking a chenille pipe cleaner might be super excellent because it would grab some of the grounds, and since there’s a thin wire at the center of it, it could be more productive than the paper clip, just a thought?

Thank you so much for this review! I’ve thought I was going to have to buy a new coffeemaker to replace my keurig dual because my coffee single serve is making 4 ounces instead of 8. Ive descaled and cleaned thoroughly but it didn’t stop. It didn’t cross my mind about the needle! Ive Seen an item on Amazon to use for that and ive used the pods for cleaning the single serve part. I don’t know why but ive been having a problem with my k cup bursting and grounds going all in it. I will go and clean the needles like you showed and hope it does the trick or I’ll be buying another. I really like the mr. coffee 4 in 1 Lux

Great video! My K Supreme was starting to slow down and making noises. I was hoping the top needle assembly could be removed for cleaning or replacement. Two of those needles were completely clogged in addition to the bottom one in the pod holder. Thanks

I just finished descaling and cleaning needles per your excellent video. But I think I may have a larger issue. During descaling and rinsing I was getting only about 4 ounces of solution each time I pushed the K. After descaling shut off I tried an 8 ounce cup and got 4 ounces. I then tried 10 and 12 ounces and each time got only 4. I plan to call Keurig but I certainly would appreciate hearing from you!

Good video once again. I’m really having trouble, not sure what to do. It took me a while, but I was able to clean the top 5 needles. The paper clip just wouldn’t go through and I didn’t want to force it through even after bending the paper clip. The bottom needle I cleaned and the paper clip was able to poke the hole through easier than the top needles. I descaled the brewer. When I try to brew the Keurig approved pods (says Keurig on the label), the pod explodes. I raise the arm and I see a mess of muddy looking grounds. I also tried a pod that doesn’t have the Keurig label on it, and the same thing occurs, exploding pods. These pods have worked fine for months. When I remove the pod, the bottom puncture hole is barely visible. Obviously that would jam it up, but I’m not sure why all a sudden since yesterday this is happening. I’m flummoxed.

The top needles weren’t fully puncturing the kcup so I removed the rubber washer covering the top needles and works better than ever.

After cleaning the needles, I like to put 4 ounces of white vinegar and an ounce of water through the Coffee setting. You will not believe the colour of the water. Follow it up with straight water at maximum for rinse. Now you are back in business.

I have a question for you, I used a small paper clip for cleaning the needles. Worked well. It however would not fit in the upper 4 holes. I did not attempt after seeing the holes are very small. The machine is working fine so for now I’m leaving things alone. Would you suggest another type of item to use?
