thanks so much for taking time to make this video to help others. it worked for me. I don't understand how people can criticize someone donating their time to demonstrate something that works. thanks again.
I tried this and it really works. Thank you so much. The vinegar and backing soda cleaned my floors, more than great. I have no dog urine smell in my home at all. Thanks again🤸
The baking soda reacts with the vinegar to produce sodium acetate, carbon dioxide (what the bubbling is all about), and water. You are then essentially cleaning with diluted salt water, unless you use more vinegar than baking soda, and then you are cleaning with diluted vinegar. If you want to use both baking soda and vinegar effectively, use them separately. Easy to Google to confirm what I'm saying..
@Cub but you never answered in all your knowledge, why does it work to an extent and what can be do better to use house hold ingredients instead of buying hard chemicals, oh dear Antoine Lavoisier.
This really works! I did my tile floors 3 times just to get it in extra good an the smell is completely gone! Thanks so much brotha! An the vinegar smell left within hours! Much appreciated!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make the videos and explain from start to finish. I can hardly wait to try your DIY dog urine eliminator. I’ve tried several products and nothing has worked, I will keep you posted. Have a wonderful day 🙏😊

but pee is so much better when it absorbs into your skin, and smells for days, transfers onto the food you cook, into your bread while your hold your sandwiches and eat them, into your eyes when you touch them, and onto your children when you hug them.
A basic chemistry lesson for you all; Alkaline (Baking soda) and acid (vinegar) neutralize each other. What you are left with is a dilute mixture of water and sodium acetate (slightly salty water). I am not at all saying this would not work to fix the smell, but the result are not due to mixing the baking soda and vinegar. You would get the exact same result from water and a couple teaspoons of salt. Water on its own is an extremely underrated cleaner. Mixing the vinegar and baking soda is a complete waste of your time (and money), either one on their own would be far more effective. With the varying PH of the baking soda and vinegar, it is highly likely one does not get totally neutralized when doing this so you're probably using a slight diluted mix of one with salty water. Just pick one and save the hassle.
I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a purchase of stuff that claimed to work on cat urine when i saw your video and man am i grateful that i did. i mixed the solution and hot damn, it worked. Thank you sir for your willingness to share!
Thank you for this video. I have two geriatric dogs that pee in the house. One will only pee on the tiled bathroom floor and the other pees on my wooden floors (the seal has worn in several places). I don't smell it, but my friend says it does leave an odor, so I am definitely going to try this.

@@mbjdiy1778 Haha yep! My grandma too! That’s where I get it. Not a fan of Lysol though. I prefer 70% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle with essential oils.
Wipe up the pee. Sprinkle the baking soda on the floor. Then sprinkle the vinegar on top. The bubble will take up almost any stain without scrubbing. It also takes out the smell. Mop as normal with vinegar when bubbling subsides.
100% true. Thank you. I might have to tweak the amount I used because it left a bit of residue when it dried but the smell was completely eliminated. Thanks again.

Definitely about to try this I just moved into a new apartment and the washer room has a strong pet odor in it so I’m going to try this tonight!! Wish me luck yall😘
Thank You so very much this combination really does work using this have saved me from have to keep rebuying mops I can just soak them in this...Thanks again
I’d just suggest that we use 2 mops...a dedicated ‘accident’ mop - which we clean well after use and a separate mop for everyday cleaning. Just a thought.
@@iyamwhatiyam547 that's exactly what I've done. My Dog is doing my head in, my mob and bucket collection and cleaning products is impressive. One thing for sure, my floors are dam clean they get scrubbed and mopped so often.
Why all of the criticism? Thank you for this video. Will this also work on concrete? I just pulled the carpet in one of my rooms and it still has the lingering pet smells. I need to get it out of the concrete before I lay my new flooring. Does this work like the enzyme cleaners?
Works for me. Do not forget the end part of moping with 1/2 cup of bleach with one gallon of water for cleansing ... air until completely dry... sniff ,,, re due bleach mop until smell is completely gone when dry ... WORKS FOR ME God bless
I have two dogs one was house broken very well. I got him when he was two. My other dog is a girl and I’ve had her from 8 weeks. She’s the problem. When we leave, the dogs are left in the basement. If she pees and I can’t get it immediately I spray the area with vinegar. If she poops, I use grocery store plastic bags to retrieve it and toss it. But my house does not smell like I have dogs... but there is dog hair everywhere... but his tips are great!!
Wear gloves. I have three dogs on deaths door this is a non stop event day and night. I do this so much I do not wear gloves I just wash my hands with soap three times the cost of throw away gloves just got to costly. The three are mentally all there so I cannot let them go. The look of shame on their face makes me feel sad. Also tried doggy diapers they just fall off big dogs.
I went to that. Tells you how great it is in about two pages then leads you to another sight to buy a book!?! I hate that--- the old bait trick. If you know the secret post it and will post it .Thanks MBJ MBJREPORT
MBJREPORT DIY Thats heartbreaking man. Maybe give them a treat when that happens? I know itll reinforce the peeing but they cant stop it as it is. Good man for helping them live out their lives as long as possible.

I have dog pee problems big time, so much so that I had to rip out all my carpets and have tile installed throughout, about 1400 s.f. of it. The peeing behavior is mostly due to incontinence problems. If you read about the drugs used to treat canine incontinence, you won't want to go near them. So, if you love your dogs like I do, you adjust. I appreciate the fact that you took some time to make this video. My solution, no pun intended, is somewhat different, and is the result of many tries at getting it right. For me, it's all about one word-bleach. Now I know everyone is freaking out about the horrible smell and the danger of getting it everywhere, but being reasonably careful, and with not-too-much practice, it works beautifully: I create a half a bucket of a strong bleach solution, enough to dip a self ringing twist mop in, with a ratio of three-fifths water, and two fifths bleach. I do not dry the pee on the floor, I simply fully load the mop with the solution and flood the pee and the area with the solution, using the mop, several times. I let it sit about 30-45 seconds, while I thoroughly rinse/wring the mop in clean water. Once the mop is completely wrung out, I set about mopping up all the liquid-it takes several mop and wring efforts, but when I'm done, it dries quickly, with only a trace of the clean bleach smell. No residual pee smell, which is one of the most disgusting smells in the world. The secret is this: chlorine is used in pools to oxidize contaminants left in the water after they wash off the skins of all the people who've used it. These are the same contaminants in dog urine. If you properly maintain your pool chlorine, the water is always clear and fresh. Same with cleaning dog urine off the floor: the initial shock of the bleach mixture, being as strong as it is, completely oxidizes the pee. At that point, it's no longer pee, the bleach has neutralized it. When I'm finished, the smell of bleach lasts a few minutes, literally, and I then have a clean, dry, disinfected floor. Of course, afterwards, you have to thoroughly clean and wring out your mop using fresh running water. My current mop came with a warning not to use it with bleach-but with the cleaning and wringing with fresh water, the mop has lasted me two years so far and is going strong. And guess what: does the mop stink of pee? Sorry, no-it smells fine, maybe just a hint of bleach as it dries and is ready for its next job. This whole process takes maybe 5-10 minutes, including the cleaning of the mop head.
If you read the video comment box below the video after the cleansing. I suggest what I do that (works for me) mop with 1/2 a cup of bleach to one gallon of water then mop. You and only you can pick your weapon. Works for me. Too much bleach can eat your grout and damage some tile.Thank you so much for your comment and God bless.
I just have a lot of mud on my tile, we had a bit of a pup party last night. I'm just looking for something that's pet safe so I don't have to block them in a room until it dries. Thank you for the advice!
I have an old dog. Poor thing misses the pee pad half the time. I have tiles that are porous and so old the sealer wore off years ago. I watched your other video that mixes peroxide, baking soda and dish soap. I'm confused now. Which mixer should I use ? I even bought a Shark Steam cleaner. Scalding hot Steam comes out. After I wipe the urine up I then use the Steam cleaner. While going over it with Steam strong urine smell comes out. I don't know if that means it's lifting out the smell or steaming it into the tile. I'm overwhelmed now. Please reply with what would be best for me. Thank you so much for helping us all.
As I state in the title and video this method is for sealed floors , but my DIY deodorizer may help you till you can replace the floor. You need a shop wet Vac after you apply the DIY deodorizer to suck it out of the floor. You should let the deodorizer sit on the floor for an hour or two. (You may have to make multiple batches depending big the area is) .Then remove it with the shop vac. If it still smells you must do it again till you remove and neutralize all the urine. I like to watch differently "how to videos" because sometimes i actually find one that is helpful and then i share it so others can find it if needed. But here anymore its become difficult to find one that isn't just funny to anyone that does professional commercial cleaning. For example, no professional cleaner will ever NOT use gloves when dealing with any bodily fluids at all...and pet urine ( or poop for that matter) is considered a bodily fluid just a little fyi. And as someone that has cleaned everything from court houses to doctors offices to hospital OR's and the morgue and crime scenes...dont have to do all this to get up wet pet urine and not have a smell. You can either invest in some Odoban Pet Oxy Stain Remover which all of the Odoban products has an odor eliminater (hence the name Odoban) and this product works. A friend of mine that runs an animal rescue which houses 50-60 dogs and cats and he swears by it and it doesn't damage anything. Its good for wet pet urine and actual stains as well. If you want to go more of the ' natural' route then all you have to do is: Sprinkle some cat litter on the wet urine and then sweep it up and discard into a trash bag & remove from the home..no odor. You can also mop the wet urine up normally. Then after you rinse the mop out, put the mop back into the mop bucket with warm/hot water ( cold water does nothing when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting a hard service ( cold water is for clothes not hard surfaces that are porous to any degree) and then add some baking soda to the water and mix up and let the mop soak for about 10 mins...no odor to the mop where a lot of odors come from. Also when cleaning any porous hard surface ( porous to any degree) you want & need to use warm to hot ( as hot as you can stand to deal with comfortably) water because not only does hot water disinfect on its on to some degree, but it opens up the pores in hard services which allows the (in this case) urine and dirt and order to be removed from inside the porous areas and not just from the surface. This is how to do an actual deep cleaning the correct way that will remove the liquid, the gems AND the odor from the area without having to clean it more then once. For an actual stain ( which is what i had typed in when it brought this up and there is no stain here) you would need to make a baking soda paste ( not a liquid). You would sprinkle baking soda on the stain: make a mixture of white vinegar & hot water ( apple cider vinegar can be substituted if needed ) ; add the liquid mixture a little at a time till a paste forms and let sit for 5-10 mins depending on the size of the stain & how old the stain is ( the older the stain is the longer it will need to sit because its a deeper stain) will determine how long it will take, but generally 5-10 mins. Then take a Brillo pad or a scrub brush and work the paste into the staine..the hot water & vinegar solution disinfects and opens up the porous areas to help break the stain up beyond the top layer of the surface while the baking soda paste works as an exfoliant to the top layer AND the porous areas which will also help eliminate the odor and neutralize the gems and odor as well. No wonder the guy in this video has to do those extra steps and from the comments I've read on here it seems like everyone has to do this more than once because this way isn't getting that deep clean that it actually takes to remove the gems & odor. But at least he tried to do something good by putting a how to video out there.
