Just incase a couple people don’t know. That sticker is NOT enforceable in the United States. If you are given problems by a manufacturer about warranty void stickers in the United States remind them that the FTC has ruled that Warranty Void Stickers are Illegal and they could be subject to severe penalties if they try to enforce them.
You forgot to mention, there is a SCREW that holds that whole piece together. You have to remove that screw first, otherwise you're telling everybody to break their cover.
If you remove stickers you loss warranty, I did this method to people who don't need to loss warranty stickers If warranty stickers not important for sure I recommend to open screw
1- she’s saying that u forgot to mention the screws above that holds the cover 2- this video is made for the people who already removed those screws but they don’t want to remove the warranty sticker 3- what else dude
You can remove every sticker (also thin paper sticker) with glue, use by hair dryer first. After a few heat by hair dryer, its easy to remove and you can stick again.
Youre literally brwaking the cover off which is intentionally damaging it and negligence which actually voids the warranty. Also ive heard it before and someone commented that those stickers mean nothing in the U.S. but breaking it open for sure voids it
I opened mine I bought it from 2018 and it was a little dusty and I didn’t have tiny screwdrivers bit I blow all the dust I can get out but thanks for helping me and if also had bugs in it to I was like omg ew but anyway thanks for showing me the hack
Dude sticker not removed but you already broke the cover by opening when the screw is still tightened. Its basically the same as removing the sticker because the casing has been compromised
The ps4 slim is the worst console if you have bad wifi or not close to it. It will say you have no connection randomly even tho your wifi is working just fine
So just did it you have to remove the warranty sticker also because there is a bloody screw that’s keeping it in so he has definitely broken the screw connecting it or has just click bated us into breaking our PlayStations
I made this short to people they need to clean console without removing warranty sticker If stickers not important you must to open screw before you damaged cover
there's a way to remove the top if your only goal is to clean the fan. If you do this method, you'll end up snapping the bottom cover's plastic. There was one comment from @ceciliawong80 that there is a screw that holds the piece together (not the screw behind the warrantly sticker) that holds the bottom part of the PS4 to its cover. As for the top cover of the console, put the FRONT of the console AWAY from you (you and your console should be facing the same way) so that the disk insert is pointing at the direction you are facing. When that's done, CAREFULLY and GENTLY lift the edges of the ps4 that is FURTHEST from you (the corners on the side of the disk insert. For people that are still confused, the corner that says "PS4" and the corner that has "Sony". Now, with supporting the bottom layer of the console so it doesn't rise up from the table when you pull, carefull pull the corners of what we just located, and the middle if needed. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT just yank it off. In any deconstruction of any piece of tech, hardware, etc., NEVER pry anything that has a hard time coming off unless you know that it's just hard to get out or you know what you're doing. Someone else in the comments followed the instructions from this video and broke a piece off their PS4. Now, once you got the top shell popped off, GENTLY slide it back until you feel that it is safe enough to lift upwards. By the end of this, you should see the fan on your far left-hand side. Gently wipe, then spray with air. If you unscrew the metal cover protecting the disk drive and fan, you can clean that too if you know what you are doing. LASTLY, DO NOT FLIP THIS OVER UNLESS YOU KNOW THAT EVERYTHING IS SECURED, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DECIDED TO UNSCREW THE METAL PROTECTOR.
Lesson learned. Always check comments and the source itself. Find 2nd or 3rd sources since there's always better ways in doing things without breaking it (in most cases). First rule of repairing or deconstructing hardware or anything really is that if you have to pry it off with tremendous force that it's going to break, it isn't the right method or there's a screw/bolt holding it back. Lastly, ALWAYS take time doing these things. I've been opening different consoles for a few years now and when I was learning to disassemble the switch and joycons, one of the mistakes people make is they pull on the right joycon's shell and rip the ribbon cable and guess what, now the joycon's fucked unless you can source a ribbon cable and replace it yourself, if not then you buy another one. It took me more than 30 mins to replace 1 joycon back when I was learning but it's fine with me because I'd rather take more time but have every screw back in the right place (different parts may either use different screw types or lengths) and that everything works. Speed picks up once you are familiar but there is no shortcut to these types of things.
Take a heat gun put it on 100° and blow at it for maybe 15sec than just simply peel it off with tweezers and use a little bit of glue wjen you put it back if theres glue needed. This is stupid man.
Only correct way to do it without breaking the plastic on the console is w a heat gun. Don't do this. If you don't do it with enough force you could reach the whole shell

Also, another thing, look for other resources and always get a 2nd or 3rd opinion bc there's other ways to do things without breaking anythiing (most of the time). Some people were asking this guy questions and he didn't even know what they were referring to so kind of a red flag to be posting these types of tutorials....
Yes he's breaking the plastic that the screw holds onto. Terrible way to do it. Only correct way to do it is with a heat gun. Maybe blow-dryer will work but idk
