I'm glad it helped! Carbs can be a very common problem so I figured taking the opportunity to make this video was a good one. This machine was actually parted out but I always ensure that something I am selling is good to go if that's the way I am selling it. i recently learn in my job thru a company mechanic he was cleaning the jets out the trash water pumps how good they run after that i have 2 quads a blaster & 400ex that in 10 years of owning them i have never clean the jets now i tackling that this coming weekend thanks to this video

Search eBay for blaster oem carburetor. Filter to used parts and you should find plenty of options. I don't have any at this time

hi, my blaster carbs fuel over flowpipe in the bowl seems to be blocked, will this affect the running? also i have a fmf pipe, and dont know if it was re jetted as i bought it like this, do you know what the standard size is so i can check, she is a pig to start at the moment but once started seems to run ok, compression psi is around 110, i have spark and fuel but seems to flood easily

stock main is 230, pilot is 32.5, clip 2nd position down, air screw out 1 1/2 turns. If it's an 88-89 blaster, the stock main is 220, but everything else is the same. 110PSI is a little low but it should be OK. If your overflow is plugged you are running a risk of flooding the engine (it may start easier holding the throttle wide open). The main jet doesn't affect starting, that will be the pilot if anything. I would get that overflow cleared out and make sure the needle valve is stopping the flow of fuel when the Floats are satisfied (I believe I showed this in the video)

I’m having a small issue. I’m just kind of curious if I put my choke on my blaster it fires up I take my chill cough and keep rubbing it it runs if I leave my choke on to warm it up it’s stars the quad out.

I would like to add something. I had a problem where I had to prime engine for every start! After removing corb 5k times I finally found it!!! In the bowl itself is a hole. Down inside that hole is a small flat blade screw. Apparently it makes the engine easy to start! It was plugged up!!!!

I would make sure the throttle / slide is not stuck. You should hear it making full travel in the carb. Make sure your intake boot is sealed well (clamped and no cracks) if it is cracked it will cause a lean condition and make it rev out, this can burn up an engine. Also make sure nothing is pulling on the throttle cable and that the cable is seated correctly in the carb cap.

I bent my little bar on the floats as they was sitting very low so I adjusted it to be level with the bowl and now no fuel is getting to carb. Any idea what I should do or should I bend it back to how it was. Any help would be much appreciated

@@The.Odyssey yes have just bent the bar back and it's now getting fuel but still wouldn't start up....had it running before taking carb apart for a clean made sure all jets and that went back into correct places and Same position..just not sure what I've done to it 🤦🏼‍♂️

i searched the problem up and it said i had to line up slider to ridge inside after aligned it goes down but throttle cable is still loose and needle is in carburetor. any ideas?

Do you see the slider from the carb opening? Sometimes you need to guide the needle down into the main jet

@@The.Odyssey yes all the jets, pilot and main, and air jet if there is one. I don’t have the stock carb, but I have a very close mikuni that I’m going to re-jet to run it
