Wonderful, thorough, easy to understand video. Two additional things I did that was not included in this video was #1 Holding the machine with the filter up I then VERY GENTLY ( I spent $600 on this vacuum, I take extra good care of it) tapped the machine onto a folded dish towel laying at the edge of my counter top. I did this 3 more times. There was more fine powder dust that came out of there than everywhere else combined. I used a flashlight and looked down the vacuum hole and could see a thick layer of powder dust so #2 I took an extra soft toothbrush and inserted it into air intake hole on the lower right side of the machine. The layer of dark grey dust came right out. The machine was even more dirty than before I took the canister cover off so I wiped it down again and used the soft toothbrush to go over the rubber parts and crevasses. I sat the filter, canister, roller and roller end cap out in the sun to dry and put it all back together the next day. It works perfectly and looks like it just came out of the box brand new.
Video was helpful for me but thank GOD I double checked before I washed the brush head like he says in this video. That part is NOT to get wet and people have ruined theirs so BE CAREFUL and always check different sources
Hi. I have recently bought my dyson v10 and I m so very happy with it. But after a month , now it's time to clean it. I am glad I came across your video of cleaning my dyson V10. This is the first I time was cleaning it and with your clear instructions I was able to do it so easily and efficiently. 😃👍One thing you didn't showed how to clean the floor soft tool attachment , but I was able to figure that out with another video. 😃Thank you so much and best wishes.😊
So far so good with this vacuum. ru-vid.comUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.
Replaced by Dyson Ball with this sucking monster. Now my friends enjoy vacuuming their rooms and the constant nagging at them is over--Thank God!. I always wondered why I couldn't just purchase the long arm to go with my smaller wireless Dyson handheld (b/c it fits perfectly) but the actual motor on this new one is far more superior than the Dyson Ball and the handheld. KEEPER!!!
When cleaning don't clean while motor in case. Clean case carefully and dry out. I've done this a 100 times on v10 with no issues. Have to always be careful
Have you gone mad ? You can't rinse the brush head off just like that, because there are mini cables and motor inside, so never like that, there many tutorials showing how to separate the motor bar from the head so you can wash it easily, it may take some time to do, but it avoids you damaging it. While for the brush roller, you can use some soap 🧼 and water to wash it and let it dry.
Alright, so I rinsed out the motor brush (where the soft brush goes) after reading the comments that you SHOULDN’T put it in water, so now if it doesn’t work, How do I fix??😫

my dyson is starting to smell iv cleaned the filter and wiped out the bucket but wondered is it safe to use washing up liquid to clean the clear bucket

Help please! The roller part that has the hair on it - I took it out and cleaned (did not wash) but now after putting it back in it doesn’t spin anymore - have tried reassembling a few times but not sure why it won’t spin anymore 🤷♀️
Oh my gosh! I assumed Dyson's cordless stick vac's were up to speed with no hair wrap technology. I was really close to purchasing one but that is a deal breaker for me. I'll wait...
I have cleaned my v10 following your direction till it came to removing the beater bar. The cap in hand but beater bar will not release from unit. What do I do?
Not sure if I know which part you are talking about. But I think you are asking about the part that all the hair gets stuck in. To release you need a 2p coin and twist anti clockwise. Like and subs to support channel
RayS Tech-Know-logy Yes, it is the part that hair gets attached to. I have released (unlocked) the end .. it’s supposed to stay attached and you pull it out to clean. Well, that’s not what happened. I attempted putting it back together thinking it would reattach and remove as it’s supposed to. No luck! I need HELP, please.
Video is great. But I never saw how you wash the piece that holds the roll sweeper. It gets really dirty as the litter from cat box gets sucked up & plasters on the foot & roller brush. Can I wash them in water?
Absolutely the worst value machine out there. Why? I moved into a brand new flat, am single and hardly make any mess. This is my second replacement. It is impossible to see where there could be a blockage. Initially it stopped working after a week and I was given a replacement. After 4 months, it stopped again. Was sent a new filter, did not work. Was sent a new main body. Why do we know this machine is useless? Dyson send a new body and do not ask for the old one as they know this will happen over and over again. As it has done to many, many other people. Just Google Dyson V10 problems and it is always the same issue...BLOCKAGE! Very expensive vacuum cleaner and when the guarantee runs out...no more replacement parts and you will have wasted your money. DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS MODEL.
I have this machine and hate it! I complained to Dyson and they send me a second for free, and I hate it too. First world problems, maybe, but seriously - not worth the $$$ !!
