Message to everyone who owns this vacuum-- to make sure you CHANGE OUT your filters every 6-8 months. Tapping them in the trash, and rinsing them aren't a lifelong solution, it's just during the half year time frame of reusing those filters. Not changing the filters on this vacuum destroyed it and it stopped working after a couple years. I got a new one of the same exact vacuum, and now I know I HAVE to throw away the filters and put in new ones every 6-8 months.

Great-solved my problem getting pet hair stuck from around the separator. A simple twist off to the left, and a right twist to lock it back in place. Thank goodness I checked here, urge were to disassemble top to get the job done! Thx Bissell and RU-vid-you do lots of good!!! Scotty

I had to take mine apart where the motor is to clean it can you show me a video how to put it back together now LOL for some reason it doesn’t seem to want to hold a cap over the motor the screws aren’t holding it now for some reason

You turn it upside down and fill it up with soapy water..

It is! Just make sure it is completely dry before reinstalling it in your machine.

Need to show us in which order to put the filters back on.. you do not show the order & or placement of the upper filters

Hi Dianna - the thinner felt filter will go in the top of the dirt tank first then the larger foam filter. Hope this helps!

If you noticed it's not collecting dust,it's the bottom part of tube is cloged with debris, this srews off easy

You cannot wash or rinse the pre motor filter which is the white and black one that is made of hard plastic. Only the pre motor filter can be washed, which is the spongey yellow and black one with the black cover.

Can find no "tab" for pulling open to access post-motor filter. Do all models have this lower filter? Under tank is cord rewind, and that's all I see.
