I have a Taurus G2 in .40 so I especially appreciated this video to compare different wear points and oil locations. I use Balistol on my first pass on cleaning and I use Gun Butter for the oiling. It has a pink tint to it so you can easily see where and how much oil your dropping in. Thanks for a clear and concise video.

I use Shooter Combo you get 1 spray bottle large one and a blue oil bottle as well i spray the entire gun out even in the striker everywhere, and i use the brush to get all that carbon out and than i rinse it all off with soap and water than finally spray it all off with water and than wipe it down good sit it on my on my in closed porch on a table and let the sun dry it it for about 1 hour and than come back and put all my lube in and then pit it back together.. yes i use soap and water to get the solvent out you don't want solvent residue at all in the gun because than once you place your oil in if there is some solvent residue there that will brake down the oil kind of defeating the entire oil system.. Soap and water is not going to damage your gun so long as you wipe it dry and leave it to dry well it will be fine because after that your going to place the oil which will prevent any any damage that long exposure water could do.. Now i'm not saying this is how you should clean your gun, but this is how i do it and when i was in the military, we cleaned our M16 with solvent and than soap and water and set to dry and than plenty of oil, M16's love to have a lot of Oil.. Another thing you can use if you don't want to buy solvent, you could use 409 Cleaning product on it which i have done when i ran out of Cleaning solvent.. the 409 cleaning solution gets rid of both the oil and carbon very well.. I spray it out and let it sit than scrub it out and wipe it clean and than rinse it off with? you guess it Soap and water and than wipe it down set it to dry and than oil it up and your done..

Another great video brother! I like to use Hoppies#9 on my G2C, mostly because of the smell, but it works great as well. I lube it up with glass cutting oil. I also polished up the rails to a 3000 grit. It smooths out the function and it doesn't tear up the swabs as much.

Can you do a video on the G2 with the bore snake, it’s the cleaner I have and idk how to use it on the G2 and I’ve been searching for videos but can’t find one

All that you need to do is put a few drops of oil on the rope of the bore snake in front of the bristles and pull the snake through from the back of the barrel to the front a few times.
