I was super skeptical. BUT THIS IS MAGIC! I've tried CLR, power washing, Zeps additive to power washing... Watched videos and read articles... The brown rust stains weren't coming off my vinyl fence (Southwest Florida well water) and I was about to give up hope... THIS WORKS JUST LIKE THE VIDEO! It cost $16 in total with the cleaner and the sprayer from Home Depot. THANK YOU for putting this out on the internet! (I'll try for mildew and mold on the fence tomorrow.)

Chelsea Givens I have the same problem but what I was wondering is as soon as the well water hits it again wouldn’t it be yellow again? My sprinkler goes on every day n would hit the fence, so after this treatment the sprinklers go on n yellow again? I know he said doesn’t hurt grass but will it hurt plants? I have a full garden of fruits n vegetables.

Emma as long as your not directly spraying them no issues, don’t saturate your fence it doesn’t need it. As it’s a rust cure from high iron in the water yes it comes back in time. I do mine 2 times a year cause the water is so bad. But I get a good 3/ 4 months till the iron shows it’s self again. Water every day cause it’s a garden? Grass doesn’t need but 3 times max a week.

The Greener Lawn yes I have a garden, so yea everyday watering. I don’t know mine seems to yellow very fast 🤣 less then 1 month n yellow already I mean not bad but I can notice it being yellow maybe my water is really bad 🤣oh well I will give it a try though thank you!

BAMA4LFYE it’s super solid stuff for sure! It’s fun to watch it just disappear, kinda mesmerizing for sure! And like you said it’s so fast working to go from U G L Y... to beautiful in seconds! Lol truth be told I ran from in my back yard into the front and showed two neighbors how it worked on their fences...

holy crap, this stuff is MAGICAL. Rust stains on a pvc fence that would NOT come off with a pressure washer simply VANISHED!! No scrubbing...gone in 10 seconds. Vaporized. Crazy. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Dude...#YouRock! OMG, I have about a 100 foot vinyl fence that actually looked worse than yours. I had my sprinkler guy and a power wash guy tell me they wouldn't take the job on. I watched your video, headed down to the box store, bought the bottle for under $10 and a pump sprayer (probably don't do the work you do, so battery operated wasn't necessary). The results were just like yours. I sprayed and the rust stains on the fence went away almost immediately! Including doing a rinse after, I "may" have 30 minutes, but more likely 20 into the job start to finish. I had to come back in a few places again, but you made my Father's Day so good! I had a smile on my face and had to show everyone who came over to join us for the day. #Awesome Can't thank you enough!

+john panico This is the exact reason I post these videos! I love helping others with problems that they feel are unsolvable, or very expensive form a contractor point! I run the battery powered sprayer because I spray liquid ferts on my 8000 sqft lawn, and it makes the job easy. A simple hand can works well too! Yes, it will remove it from concrete (good catch, I did say it at the end lol). My neighbor has it on his driveway and when he gets back from a trip we are going to hit his drive way with it. If people want to see that, I can make a video of it too. So the cause of the problem is I use secondary water and in Utah we have lots of minerals in our water, namely IRON. That is what caused the staining. AND.... truth be told... bad practices, I should of adjusted the sprinklers to not hit my fence... but I was having issues with my grass not growing against the fence... this year I will be adjusting it to assist with the issues. Thanks!

Works great! I did use 2 gal for only about 35 ft. That's two fence gates and five panels for a 4ft high vinyl fence. The good thing is that is was less than $15 each. I had to wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeve shirt, hat, eye protection, and a respirator... This stuff burns. I got some on my hand and had to immediately wash it off. Felt like battery acid. Also, a bit of breeze and I could not breath. Take proper safety precautions.

If you use the rust aid in a sprayer- can you use other products in the sprayer later or just rust aid in the sprayer?

Any product you use, if you triple rinse it, you can use another product in it. Or if you use baking soda through it’s it will neutralize any residual products.

A lot of times there is iron in the clay to make it red, and in these cases yes, it will remove it as they are rust. I would def try this on them given that possibility.

Is the fence in the video an aluminum fence because I have a aluminum fence and their is some oxidation kinda running down on the fence so will it work on a aluminum fence

Abel Will Reck unfortunately not, it is vinyl. So in its MSDS sheet it does state it’s incompatible with some metals, as it doesn’t state which ones, I would steer away from this product. I’m sorry.

Abel Will Reck not a prob! Glad I could answer it, even though it doesn’t help your end goal. Here is what I would look into, toilet bowl cleaner, not great for the grass but I think it would remove your oxidation. Look into it 👍🏻

Depends on what the cause is, right? Back when they had high iron in my water I had to do this yearly, now that they have changed it, I haven’t done it in 3 years. It’s not stopping the stain, it’s removing it.

Did you dilute it. I use this for my customers with rust on their driveways and siding and it works great. Never used it on Vinyl fences. Glad I came across your video. Thanks

Nope, just the same way as your concrete full strength, just don’t apply directly to the lawn. A little over spray might bleach the lawn lightly, I have never seen ☠️ from it tho.

Landon Echols No, I didn’t try any hand scrubbing... I watched my neighbors do that. Something about insanity, through trying the same thing over and over, expecting different results 😜 It’s a metal stain, from having iron and hard metals in our secondary water. Works really well!

Unfortunately not. I do have to admit when it came down to those stains, rustaid power was far more Superior to my “elbow grease”. I am planning on dropping another video about Rustaid on cement rust stains. I’ll put a snippet in there trying to use some soap and water on the stain, maybe even how my power sprayer does against the stains.

Roger Bobo I tried some research to see if would remove any mold and mildew.... can not see where anyone stated it did... I know it’s primary use is on rust stains / hard metal stains. I do apologize about the mildew part, I’ll keep researching and if I find something I’ll repost. Lawns..... not an issue at all along the whole fence. I would not just directly apply to the lawn, but no where along this fence line e did I see any issues in the time since.

@@TheGreenerLawn right , it is for rust. My fence is vinyl. So I don’t think it’s rust. I don’t know what it is though as it’s very small specs that don’t come off with even a pressure washer. It’s 13 years old

Only one, and it did about 260 feet of fencing. I probably would be smart to get 2 gallons For my whole 300 foot fence plus touchups through the year.

Nick's Residential Services the two guys who run it that I know, one charges $.50 a foot $50 minimum... gives discounts on volume. Second charges by job severity/Job time. You see how quick it disappears, for my 300 liniar feet, he would of charged me $130 so $30 in product and $100 for labor (20 min max)

No need to rinse (no residue or residual issues) and yes been using it for 6 years now and never any issue with my pups. I normally keep them In till dry now.

On iron rust stains? You know something Clorox doesn’t (straight from their web site): Rust stains are particularly limited in what will effectively take them out. Most importantly, it's critical to note that rust stains can NOT be removed with Clorox® Regular Bleach2 (or any chlorine bleach for that matter). You need to use a rust remover product instead, which can be found at hardware stores. www.clorox.com/how-to/outdoor-stains/rust-stains/how-to-remove-rust-stains/

The Greener Lawn I live in south central Florida and irrigation systems are on wells down here . Anyways my neighbors sprinklers have made my fence brownish yellow on her side about 3-4 panels . Today I tried outdoor bleach, no results. Second I used turtle wax bug and tar remover it worked but needed a little elbow grease and I only had a small amount in bottle so I gave up. I pick up the product tomorrow and will send you videos on what I use it on. I sure hope this works , must be some potent acid

Used it for couple years on my fence and no kills grass. But I purposely don’t spray it on it. Worst I’ve seen tip bleaching (for 3-4 days) if it gets hit. So yea, don’t just go hog wild and spray plants, but if you keep it on the fence, you will be cool.

I took all the time to go make my fence dirty with RUST, that is from HIGH iron content in our secondary water.... then I found the product that would make it just disappear.... not run down... not wash off... just disappear.... so this product that is called “Rust”aid is for rust stains that form on fences from high iron water. I have never pretended to know everything, nor will I. If you simply would of asked if it would work on algae and mold, I would of told you “no”, because it doesn’t. 👍🏻 I have not had to deal with algae or mildew, but I do recommend a product: amzn.to/2Za1Ull
