I just switched over to using a knuckler handle for my bronze wool. I agree with you that at times it can be a bit bulky when you don't need it to be. But I'm actually fairly happy with the tool itself. Good video man, I like the way you explain things so that it's very clear to your audience.
Great video. After seeing one of your other videos of you using the steel wool, I got some myself. I always had problems trying to clean the deck glass as its tempered. With the steel wool I can actually get the glass clean now.
I noticed you are wearing gloves. i am looking for some that keep my hands warm and dry in winter but are thin/flexible enough so it does not inhibit the work. Do you have any suggestions on type of gloves, or which ones you use? Thanks
Now I'm curious to try steel wool again if its more abrasive. I switched to bronze because the steel was drying my hands out. I save on pads by using half a pad at a time. Thanks for the videos. After 5 years I'm still learning. :-)
I like this.. I'm a fan of all three, though honestly I only carry the bronze and white 3M in my belt. Mostly because the standard steel wool rusts and makes a mess in my pouch.. Stuff is great, a must carry item IMO too..
First off, thank you guys so much for all the helpful information you put out! Crazy question... But, are windows normally tinted on the inside or outside?
No problem! Windows are usually tinted on the inside. But that dosent mean you won't run across the odd exterior tint jobs from time to time. If you're ever in doubt just check it thoroughly before using any abrasives
Off topic, albeit, but I remember seeing in one of your videos a handheld invoice system, maybe? I use square for accepting payments, but am looking for something very portable and convenient for on-the-job invoicing. Any suggestions? Also thanks for all the knowledge, I definitely tune in daily and pass your bids and channel on as much as possible!
Georgia Hunter well it's a ton to discuss really. like our fb page luke the window cleaner maybe we could discuss it further. joist is a free app download it and play around with it see what you think. quick books online cost around 30.00 per month but is a great book keeping software
I observed that steel wool, no matter how fine, always scratches glass. You first notice it when the sun shines through the glass in the evening. 0000 does the same as 0 or 00, just on a smaller scale.
The bronze pads that are thin and have a cotton backing in my opinion are not safe because it can dislodge fabricating debris. The soft pads I see no issues
Used 0000 steel wool and now my windshield will have to be buffed out bc of all the micro scratches. This is my fault of course, just bc some guy on the internet says it will work doesnt make it so!
+Zachariah Messanger wow ok well im really sorry that happened to you. perhaps something wasnt done correctly. If you look through my videos i use 0000 steel wool in real life every single day. Grear results and no scratches. if you're not a professional maybe you should research more info before trying to clean windows
