How to clean a car seat? Great question! This is one of the most FAQs I get!
Not all car seats are created equal. Your manual will detail how to clean the car seat, whether the cover and parts are removable or if they can be machine washed and/or dried, and the cleaning products permitted for use. ⁠⁠ ⁠⁠
Warning! If you clean your car seat with products that are not approved for use, then you compromise the integrity of the car seat and alter its functionality and efficacy in a crash.⁠⁠
In this video, I'll take you through all the dos and don'ts and even take one of my kids' seats from filthy to fresh. Let's get cleaning!

I’m a remove the cover & wash it every 3 months or so person. I do it when I deep clean the car usually. 😅

Thanks for your videos, they help a lot! Do you have any recomendations on colour selection for a seat? I'm buying a nuna exec for a second car but I'm not shure if I should take the grey (granite) or black (caviar). I like the looks of the gratine more but I'm concerned it can hold many stains in the long run. Thanks again!

We have this seat but the zip off one 😂 after my first and cleaning vomit & potty accidents so many times when we got a car seat for kiddo 2 a must was machine washable and the easiest removable options 😅

We have a century one drive on 3 in 1 and it is crazy easy to take apart and clean, the hardest part is uninstalling and re-installing.

If it's hard to install, I imagine you are using the lower anchors. You might try the seat belt installation instead. The Inside Out Trick helps you get lightweight seats, like this one, installed tightly: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9eEWzIwZNHc.html

What if I've already removed my removable cover and washed it incorrectly? 😬 And now I'm just learning the correct way..... is a one time a mistake a make or break?

We have a Graco TriRide with a cover that comes off pretty easily. My daughter has thrown up in her seat more times than I care to admit🤢

I have a chicco carseat as well. They arent too hard to remove. Our problem is that we had a blowout on the harness like months ago and i never cleaned it 😅 but i guess its easy to just dawn it away. Lol.

It might not be very easy to clean the harness at this point. Try a wet washcloth. You can't soak the straps. If the wet washcloth doesn't work, you can contact Chicco and ask what else you can do.

In terms of accident prevention; One of my hard core rules is never, never, never use drinking glasses or beverage pictures for cleaning liquids This advice could prevent a call to poison control. Other than that I found your advise helpful! Thank you, Grandma Vee❤

It's just a cup full of water and a little drop of soap! It also gets poured out when I'm finished; so I don't think we'll need poison control for that! But thanks for watching!
