How to Clean Your Ear Piercing 

So just soak them?

I got the spray and it got infected still. So idk.

I went to the piercing shop and cotton buds and cotton wools is what they recommended for my helix piercing

you can use aseptic gauze instead of swabs or q-tips!! that’s what my piercer recommended

i twisted my new piercings everyday like oh instruction- nothing happened and they are healthy still

When I got my ears pierced the lady said to twist them and push them back and forth so the hole doesn't close

But don't you have to twist the piercing so you can clean it?

so what do I use instead of a cotton swab?

@@marsh2849 a cotton ball idk but cotton swabs are easier

@@marsh2849 I personally use a wound wash spray and a paper towel to remove debris around the wound. I know cotton swabs are so much more practical, but they’re riskier ! Eventually, when it no longer produces debris, I just stick to the wound wash spray (I spray it once on each side of the ear and let it dry). I personally use NeilMed Piercing Aftercare Fine Mist Wound Wash. Really, taking care of your piercings is so much simpler than the internet makes it out to be. Trust me, I had to go through dozens of videos and articles until I finally found a good piercing aftercare routine (including the product I recommended above, which really seems to be the best one out there).

I used to do this actually, I will never get a piercing in cartilage ever it’s too painful and scary and the fact that apparently you hear a pop when it’s pierced is insane to me

I’ve heard websites recommend neosporin but idk. Does it help you?

I actually wouldn't recommend Neosporin as it will help heal and close the wound up rather than keep the hole open.

Bruh, I’m using that, like the ear and nose saline solution. My piercer said saline solution so I got what the pharmacy had. I guess it was the right one because there weren’t any contraindications. How is your healing process going?

I guess just spray the cleanser on your ear, after reading these comments cause I just got my ears pierced. Im going to spray Bactine bottle on the front end let it sit for 30 seconds then turn my head and spray the back and let it sit. That’s what I’m planing to do cause I just got them pierced today and haven’t cleaned them yet

I was thinking of buying a pack of q-tips after the recommendation but now I'm not so sure I'll. Most likely I'm gonna use folded tissue (ensuring it's of a certain thickness & not too saturated with the solution thus avoiding breakage/shedding while cleaning).

I searched it up on Google, it said you can (for anyone who doesn’t have saline solution, just use hot salt water and soak your piercing 1-2 times a day.)

@@riiana3Yh you can just leave it there or you can wipe it, it’s your choice, but either one is safe.

@@keto1690saline solution/ wound wash I know I’m super late sorry but if anybody else reads this I recommend the niel wound wash spray it’s helping me a lot and I’m usually prone to infection
