Never knew about clean a fly line or replacing fly line until a month ago. Local employee asked me questions during our conversation and my mouth it the floor. I assumed the line would last a life time. Didn’t know cleaning and replacing, can’t wait to see BUTTER through the eye guards. Thanks for the tips
Here after watching your video on the question of how long a fly line lasts and your recommendation for cleaning and dressing the line. Great information as always Brian.
Thank you for such useful information. I just subscribed last night (been watching for months) and 1st day already well worth it! I try to fish every day in central Texas rivers and creeks, flyrod gets filthy so I know lines dirty and just wipe with damp cloth. I will absolutely use this method. Fished over 40 years but only been flyfishing for one..it’s changed Everything😁. Thanks so much for informative videos..it’s really made a huge difference for me and I’m sure others. Good fishing to you. God Bless 🎣

i inherited a 50yo ABU 5stars fly rod and reel that had the original brown line on it. it is rough and very stiff. just practicing in the backyard it hurt my index finger just launching and stripping line for 10mins.
Sorry but that is an impossible question to answer other than "alot". Totally subjective and depends on how dirty your lines are and many other variables.
