I ask primarily because I believe that we're approaching the time where this equipment will no longer be available. For many, these are not affordable, for others who saved and cashed in their beer vans and were able to purchase, they should understand that while not delicate they are not indestructible. For me, daylight tactics / strategies differ from the night, both require proficiency. Should there be a loss of equipment, the world changes. I appreciate you taking the time to create your video.
Wearing nods on your head is a unique experience that you need to train for, and not just visually. The weight and distribution on your head is something you gotta exercise if you want to be proficient with nods. You can't always go out at night to work those muscles, but you gotta train sometime.
Obviously use a daylight cap, etc for proper protection. Probably smart to keep it indoors though if you want to wear them during the daylight. Obviously it's important to flex on everyone at the range though, so you should definitely take them out in public a lot.
@@riu.1180 Uh, no. Daytime movement is different, more aggressive. I flew with NODS ... we didn't fly with them mounted during daylight hours. Movement at night is more cautious as there are hazards not encountered during daylight. Daylight hours, your field of view is near 180 degrees. At night, with nods, 40 degrees. If training is your focus then train realistically.
@@darthsnizreb6350 100% laziness or to look cool. In the military we are told to keep our nods in our nods pouch on our kit until atleast dusk where you still have SOME ambient light where you can still use your naked eye and they go back in your nods pouch when the sun comes back up. I know theres some videos here and there of some SOF guys wearing their nods during the day but most, if not - all those videos are dynamic lighting conditions. Going from outside to a completely blacked out indoor building. I deployed with SF twice and they never wore their nods during the day unless that was exactly the case (which really wasnt likely in Afghanistan...but was likely many times in Iraq).
