You can use a metal spoon or even a whisk if you prefer, just be careful not to create too many air bubbles when stirring. I definitely recommend using metal utensils and not plastic or wood. Plastic will melt in the hot wax and wood is very difficult to clean and will likely develop wax buildup. I hope this answers your question!
