Notes 📝: 1- what is it staying on your skin? Wash your skin every night, don’t follow trends on skincare products but find what is best for you. PHA balance, use toner. 2- Makeup: blush, primer, foundation, Powder, oils in cream things. 3- know your skin type to use suitable skincare routine for you. 4- exfoliate to get rid of dead skin. 5- your lifestyle effects your skin. 6- protect your skin and go out in the sun. 7- Allergy, is a hidden cause, so be aware of what you are eating. That what I got from your wonderful advice, thank you 😊 💕
I'm a beauty/skin therapist and i have watched so many skincare advice videos and non of them know what they are talking about and give the wrong advices. Finally someone who knows what she is talking about. Really good advices!
I love how you make direct eye contact straight into the camera instead of the viewfinder or other places like most youtubers, it really makes a huge difference. Plus your smile, easy way to understand your words and the tons of information this vid contains... amazing.
I’m so pumped you talked about the diet/skin relationship! For ages in my mid twenties I kept getting really deep nasty, cystic acne. It wasn’t until I noticed I was having digestion issues that I cut out dairy- within weeks my acne completely resolved! 🤗
I've been using apple cider vinegar as a toner for about six weeks, among some detox supplements (spirulina or chlorella/calcium/magnesium/digestive enzymes/daily probiotic/milk thistle). I'm starting to see less congestion and improved skin and less acne spotting which seem to clear more quickly when spots do appear. My skin is not fully clear yet but at least 50% improved. It takes awhile for all those skin layers to regenerate / turn over.
지안입니다, it only doesn't sting as long as you dilute the apple cider vinegar with water. I have oily(t-zone) and dry-normal cheeks and I use 50/50 water and apple cider vinegar
Which one do you think helped more? I just recently discovered BHA's and AHA's and I've ordered an all new skincare routine incorporating AHAs and BHAs because I never stuck to or had a good routine. I'm excited to try the AHAs and BHAs. My concern is Dairy, it's so hard to stay away from it when you live at home and your parents always have Dairy in things. I've managed to cut out cereal so I don't drink milk and I haven't for about 1 month but I still eat cheese on my salad, or cheese on my sandwich. I'm thinking about trying my new skincare routine and seeing if it clears my skin up before I give up Dairy completely.
halloween socks It depends on what your main skin concern is. I would recommend an AHA if you are concerned about: uneven skin tone, hyper pigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles, or you have drier skin. I would recommend a BHA of you have: acne, blackheads, whiteheads, large pores, congestion, or oilier skin. However, I use some products that contain both AHA's and BHA's since I have acne, but I also have an uneven skin tone and acne scars. :)
One of my anti acne powders contains talc but it actually helps with my skin a lot. The product that started causing congestion on my forehead was the primed and pore less powder from Too Faced. Funnily enough I only realised that 6 months after using it EVERY single day for those past 6 months 😥
Choi Dohyun talc only causes cancer when it's in its purest form stuff in cosmetics and baby powders don't actually cause cancer because the cancer causing ingredient in talc purest form contains asbestos do your actual research before spouting shit that you're very uneducated about because you're making yourself looking like annindiot
I've recently started using diluted ACV as a toner and my skin has improved SO much! I tried it years ago and it didn't work for my cystic acne at the time but it is doing wonders for my current congested skin.
This is the best skin care video I've seen for skin congestion! Not only was this highly informational, i love your personality! You seem so bubbly and genuine about your talking about! Totally subscribing. Thanks for a great video!!
I have great skin...except for texture and bumps. I have started using sweet almond oil only to clean my face. Never have I ever seen such an improvement. My family friends use it as well and the difference is amazing! Hope this helps. Also, this girl is so stunning, her curls!!
Note to self pH balancing cleanser that is also toner (body creates excess oil of it is stripped to much. ACV MAYBE Sunscreen that allows skin to breathe (maybe mineral makeup) Don't skip natural hydrating skin (moisture) Exfoliate 2-3 times a week with salysylic or hydroxy acid Wipes for sweat Expel toxins internally Cut out dairy (might have unknown allergy...diary is infamous for
This is all very good advice and thank you. I’ve also noticed it’s helpful to avoid touching your face throughout the day. My grandma used to rub her chin when she was worried, then one day, I realized I was rubbing my chin when I was worried about anything! Go figure. If you are a “face toucher” & you can’t break the habit, wash your hands often. Don’t use hand sanitizers unless that’s your only option. Don’t forget to keep your make-up brushes clean. Wash at least once a week with soap & water.
grigri2552 research , will help ! Derm store is the place online for amazing kits and etc . Everyone should use drunk elephant vitmen C .. and their physical sun screen . A exfoliation ( aha / bha ) lactic acid such as good genes by Sunday Riley is amazing ! In the morning u don't need a strong cleansor , should be PH balanced . Foaming for oily skin , gel type for normal to dry ..
this is the first video of yours that i have seen and I'm shocked that i haven't found you sooner! you have a natural and easy way of speaking and i love it! thank you for the awesome info!
so helpful, thank you! another realllly simple, but totally life changing tip is not touching your face with unwashed hands. dirt/bacteria on your fingers could irritate your skin and make it break out. my skin has been getting so much better since i stopped touching it! if anything itches, just try to leave it alone or wipe it with a clean wipe. also, wash your hands every time before putting on make up/moisturizer! i've also been wanting to try out apple cider vinegar for ages, i think i'm just gonna go for it soon!
Hey there Christine, isn't it crazy how something so small can alter something so big 💁🏻 I didn't have a good experience with the time I tried apple cider vinegar but let me know how your's goes.
I'm now following you! Your playlist is on my TV so I can watch while I fold laundry and my daughter started to watch your channel. She's 9, but it's never too early to learn to care for your skin. :D But I wanted to thank you for saying that you need to find skincare products that are best for you! I feel like most (not all) beauty RU-vidrs don't mention that fact when they are pimping out a product and young girls, are spending a fortune on things that might not even be right for them.
Thank you, I'm glad you can see that I'm bot product driven I genuinely share information because I enjoy helping whenever I can even in if it's through a simple youtube video :)
Omg girl ur saving my life with this video! I haven't been wanting to make another RU-vid video Bc idk whyyyyyy the heck I started to break out mainly on my forehead!! It's been almost 2 months!!! 😩 I've NEVERRRRRR EVER EVER had acne before just the norm few pimples but never like this!! Please do more videos like this doll!
Adult acne is tuff, and it can deff be a blow to the confidence, but it's deff something that can be managed. I still have to be on top of my skin constantly because I will break out if someone even breaths on me the wrong way, lol!
This video is very very informative & I wish I saw this months ago when I first experienced skin congestion in the middle of my forehead. But I solved my problem when I looked up Facemapping realizing it's probably my diet. I started eating food with a lot of fiber which was what cured it all. I began eating spinach, corn, etc. I stopped drinking regular milk & began getting Almond Breeze Original almond milk instead. Just staying away from dairy as much as possible like you said. But yeah I would really recommend eating tons of vegetables and fruits for forehead skin congestion bc that's what helped me!
I use ACV. It totally helps. I used to struggle with oil. I still get breakouts when I drink or eat dairy and meat, but I am aware now and I have the ability to balance stuff and that's AMAZING. I've had acne since 8 years old! Yeah. So knowing what triggers my skin and taking probiotics and drinking water makes life easier.
Wow this is the first video I stumbled across from your channel and I am SOLD! You are so refreshing, your energy and vibe is amazing. You could literally say anything ridiculous and I'd still believe you. I am so glad to join your fam :)
adding this to my watch later playlist. I had bad congestion from coconut oil and after 3 years I really started to realise what works and what doesn't. I recommend the blackhead liquid from Cosrx! amazing stuff!
I love that your videos actually explain things throughly! it's so important to understand & know what kind of skin issues we may have before we can even treat it. and you do it in an informative and fun way! love watching your vids 👏
Yes vitamin d from the sun can be super healing for inflamed skin; however, you cannot absorb vitamin d with uva/uvb blockers. The recommended daily sun exposure is about 10-15 mins a day without any sunblock. I'm not saying that sunblock is a bad thing because it is super important for healing skin as well (helps reduce scarring) so definitely apply it after your 10 mins but just an FYI!
Yesss thank you for making this I've never found a video specifically about this. I have this problem occasionally and it's not noticeable on my bare face but once I apply foundation it looks horrendous and accentuates every tiny bump
I have skin bumps around my mouth area and have had them for years. I recently started do a daily gentle cleanser with a Glycolic acid peel everyday. Been doing it for a week and have already seen a difference. I have used Apple cider vinegar in the past as a toner and going to add it back to my skin routine as I think now it will have more benefit with the acid peel.
Thanks for the info. I just turned 34 and am experiencing breakouts for the first time in my life! It's so frustrating and I'm trying to figure out what could be the cause. Ive lowered my sugar, dairy etc intake upped my water intake and still can't figure out the culprit. I've even had some cystic acne spots that just don't want to go away. Seriously frustrated! Your video is very informative and I'm definitely going to check out some of your other videos. I want beautiful skin like yours again!
As a person who has acne since 7th grade and has a turn on and off relationship with it, Apple Cider is a really good way in clearing your skin. I make it as my toner, and it did really help. Surprisingly it also lightened my dark spots
Hey Raquel! I'm going through some tough times with my skin. I have VERY oily, but in winter combo skin that is very sensitive and very reactive to new products. What would be a good cleanser, moisturizer, toner? What could help me? Do you recommend the Clarisonic? I have one but I haven't used it in forever since I had good skin for a while there. I'm currently using a charcoal bar from a local all natural place where I live, the Peter Thomas Roth cucumber gel moisturizer, and no toner! Thank you so much! PLEASE HELP ME?! Should I get a facial?!
Hello! So I am 15 years old. I dont wear makeup, nor use cleanser or anything alike. I believe I have a good diet, and everytime I exercise I clean my self up. Eventhough I do all that I still have bumps in my forehead and Ive tried many natural skin products but none of them work. Hope you see my comment and help me with my problem. Thankssss
I've watched so many videos and they all say the same thing and ramble. This video may be long but it's so informative and full of great tips. I'm so glad I found your channel ❤️
Everyone must find the right product and one thing that breaks out one person isn't another...when I stopped using tjose light cleaners for oily combinations skin and started with balms for every type skin... half less acne. I used to use typical care that you're talking about but didn't help for 1year...started with more natural non toxic care. xx
I ve tried white vinegar after waxing my face to avoid pimples and kill bacteria.. I wipe areas that I waxed with white not apple vinegar leaving it for 15 min then I repeat the same thing every day for 3 days after waxing and it helps a lil bit cuz I ve sensitive skin. I ve read that vinegar makes hair grow lesser next time of growing.
لَيَدْيَ صَنْعَأَنِےيـۀ I really want to get my face waxed,is it safe? does it cause your face to sag?and please can you tell me what kind of wax do you Use? thankzz
hey Maria... No waxing does not cause my face sag and I use veet wax... but to be honest I stopped waxing cause I suffered pimples... now I use Veet Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler to trim my face hair and I am satisfied no skin break out any more.
maria k dont wax ur brows that aeria is super sensitive it will cause it to sag. i suggest u waxe ur upper lip (theres literally 1000tutorials) or just wax sometimes but if u. dont have that much face hair well ehh.. just leave it alone haha
I have been using apple cider vinegar (1 part ACV and 1 part water) as my toner and it works amazingly my pore have gotten a lot smaller and I don't break out much ( Although I never had severe acne ). It has definitely changed my skin for the better but it is little drying if you have dry skin I have been putting on a thicker layer of moisturizer right after.
Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peel is my holy grail enzyme exfoliator for all skin types even sensitive and post script peels. Only thing I will use on my clients or myself . Amazon has the best price as it is usually $48 you can get it for about $26 and will last over 6 months. Is a must try!
I love that you said sun is healing for skin! Since adequate vitamin D is so essential and important- but sunscreen blocks vitamin D absorption :-( So first sit in the sun long enough without sunscreen to absorb enough vitamin D for your skin/body and then could go put a natural non-chemical sunscreen on. Your thoughts?
Stumbled upon your video and this was sooo helpful with my recent congestion issues! Thank you for the tips. I think I'm having a combination of things on my skin, but this was so informative!
Two questions: 1. What's the difference between a scrub and an exfoliant? and 2. Is there a more common food allergy (sugar, gluten, dairy, etc.) that causes bumps on the skin, or is it just something to investigate more in depth? Thanks so much for this video :D xoxoxo
Hey there! A scrub is a type of exfoliation, a method if you will. The foods mentioned are the most common unless you have an actual unless you have a specific food you have an allergy to like nuts or strawberries for example.
Thanks for the reply! :D So, if I'm 30, or over, I need to look for a product that says: 'exfoliation' on it, and not 'scrub', right? Sorry if I seem repetitive :( It's somewhat confusing as most products say: "scrub exfoliation".
You can use a scrub if you want and it will exfoliate the skin , but it is best to avoid this method if your skin is sensitive or have broken capillaries (little red vein on the skin). Alternative methods for exfoliating the skin is using something that has names like "glycolic acid", "Enzymes", "BHA's" "lactic acid" (for dry skin) or "AHA's" are the most popular ones, I hope that helps.
You're channel is so amazing !! I have a couple of questions for you. 1. What are your thoughts on ' acne face mapping ' and 2. How can you tell the difference between normal breakouts compared to food allergy breakouts ?
THANK YOU!! face mapping dang I haven't heard that term in many years that is a practice the skin care brand dermatological goes by. I believe it's am Asian [ractice too but more on a holistic level.. I use to use face mapping with my clients to help them Identify what might be causing the breakouts. the difference is a breakout has puss in it and can vary in size allergy bumps typically have nothing in them and are more inflamed than anything else.
Raquel what do you think about Argan oil? I recieved a gift set of Josie Maran set that comes with the original pure oil, the whipped Argan butter, and Argan milk, my skin has been really great lately ever since I simplified my routine to gentle cleansing, toning with grape water, and moisturizing with a basic vitamin e moisturizer from malin and goetz. Exfoliating a couple times a week with skinceuticals micro scrub. I wanted to add the Argan oil as a nighttime treatment but just afraid of adding anything new in my routine bc my skin seems great now
Argan oil is great for dry, normal, and even combination skin types but if you are highly acne prone it might break your skin out in not it's a beautiful oil. :)
Apple vinger cause me a lot of problems takes me two weeks to fix my skin with doctors . Be careful plz nothing works for all or maybe only me had that bad experience . Thanks for your amazing video 😊
Great Video! About the pH-balanced cleansers, though: There's actually a difference between a 'skin pH-neutral' cleanser (I don't know how they market it in English speaking countries, in Germany it's pH-hautneutral), which is actually pH 5,5, and a 'pH-neutral' cleanser, which most likely has a pH of around 7, because 7 is the middle between acidic and basic things, so 7 is the actual neutral on the pH-scale. I guess they do this because it is difficult to lower the pH of a cleanser to an acidic level, and most people don't see the difference between the two.
The skincare videos are really helpful, but I'd love to know more about her haircare routine too! Those curls look really healthy & shiny - my natural curls are always frizzy & messy looking 😣
I used to use apple cider vinegar and yeah it did help clear . But it absolutely doesn't stop breakouts it just helps clear up some spots . I don't know what happened but I think I got so many tiny bumps from it once I started using it, and now I have no idea how to get rid of them . Tiny bumps everywhere on my skin . I think I'm going to try African black soap . And use a facial brush . I also use aloe Vera at night as a face mask, it's wonderful! it drys out your pimples and gives a brighten touch, which hazel from Dicksons as a toner !! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@mrsbreazy7413 pour some into a bowl and add water then dip the cotton pad into it or pre mix it into a empty bottle is the only way to dilute it you wouldn't drink it straight due to it causing esophagus burns and ulcers etc so you sure as he'll wouldn't put undiluted ACV on your skin
gilr you're so on point with everything but i gotta say i went out and bought noxzema to wash my face and though it is a cream cleanser it does wonders for my skin despite it being oily. Gel works well too but i'm going to have to say its different for everyone, see if it works for you don't just count it out. BTW YOU WOULD MAKE A GREAT TEACHER
The skin can often fluctuate but your skin type usually stays consistent until your hit menopause, what often shift is the condition of the epidermis (top layer of the skin)this can be due to oil water content of the skin, or levels of sensitivity due to how we care for our skin. An example of this is dehydration (lack water in the skin) which many people think is "dry skin" lacking in oil but what it really is looking for is water. even oily skin can become dehydrated.
Rachel I am positive that I have super dry skin until a few months ago ... I regularly used to go to a dermatologist and spa, so I know this is not my normal skin, and I drink a lot of water and I have a healthy diet. I can even see the oil coming out on top of my nose
TheWisdomwoman This happened to me a couple years ago.. the oil was so thick on my nose it was disgusting! My skin always looked swollen as well. I also developed rosacea. I started using better products, rose water multiple times a day, toner, and moisturizer. Morning and night. When you have oily skin you still need to moisturize a lot! the biggest thing that helped was changing my diet to mostly fresh fruits and veggies and healthy fats, and lots of water. It took a couple months but it really helped me get over that oil slick period.
I would sooner go with rice bran flakes it will help exfoliate and brighten the skin more effectively. For more of an aggressive scrub try oil and finely granulated sugar.
love it, how did you get on with the Apple cider vinegar toner? I'm guessing you mixed it with water? would love to know the ratio orly water to ACV you use to dilute it... and a video talking more about the under the skin pimples that never come to a head and fluid under the skin would be amazing! xx
OMG!!! my skin broke out soooooo bad! I did a 25/75 ratio but I had to stop because massive cystic came out. I have very reactive skin and very acne prone.
SO I guess ACV is not for everybody or this ratio is way too high? I suspect it would mostly work on bumps of the yeast kind no? It would probably wise to use it internally to balance gut bacteria as well.
Depending on the skin you need various ratios. If you have very dry skin, using it at all could be a bad idea. For oily skin you have better chances but I don't really suggest it (too harsh in my opinion). The only people that should be using it are those with acne to kill the surface bacteria and after about ten minutes it should be washed off and moisturised thoroughly afterward. I more suggest rosewater with a drop of peppermint or lavender oil, much gentler and not drying at all. A safe ratio to start would be half a tablespoon for every cup of water, but again, I don't suggest it.
Yes it can extremely harsh if you use too much or just with water. I have extremely sensitive skin and played around with a variety of recipes to create a nice soothing toner thar balances out my skin. I don't measure, I just eyeball it. I take a travel bottle (approx. 2 1/2" H) then fill the bottle only 1/3 full with DISTILLED WATER. The remaining 2/3s I break down into 3rds again and fill it with the following ingredients... 1/3 WITCH HAZEL (Pure distilled, non - alcoholic from Health Food store), 1/3 ACV (Braggs raw, unfiltered w/ the mother), and 1/3 ROSEWATER (pure) which is refreshing, soothing and helps mask the smell of the ACV. Shake it up! After cleansing, shake the bottle and pour a little in your palm, rub hands together and pat all over your face. The bottle lasts approx. 1 1/2 to 2 wks, then make a fresh bottle. If your skin can take it increase the amount of ACV and reduce the amount of water or other ingredients.
I have used apple cider vinegar as a toner in the past and it worked really well. I also used it as a hair rinse. Also, could you please, please do a video about skincare for rosacia?
Your videos are sooooooo helpful!! Thank you!! I'm 50 and have never had pretty skin. I'm trying so hard. I have a couple of questions for you. You said no beads to exfoliate. How do you feel about sugar? I sometimes use olive oil and sugar. How often should I be exfoliating? Mineral make up......can you recommend a brand of mineral makeup? Once again, thank you. You and your videos are precious to me. Hugs Tina
Hi there Tina, thanks for watching! sugar scrubs are great, just make sure you cleanse your skin after the scrub. You can use a scrub 1-2 a week, for your age range you can increase exfoliation through other methods... have your watched my video on "how to care for your skin in your 40, 50, and 60's +" ? here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WwJEIXzH7_M.html
I just got tiny bumps on my chin and cheeks outta nowhere ☹️ I haven't used any new products and it's not that time of the month.. I've had it for several weeks now and I don't know what to do about it.. I'm already on AHA and BHAs 🤷🏼♀️
Stay away from anything that contains oils You don't put oils on top of oily skin you most likely only have dry skin because you're not drinking plenty of water a day I thought I had dry skin but it was dehydrated from not upping water in take so moisturiser won't be effective and I'm very acne prone which acne mainly only targets people with oily skin since they produce excessive oils
My toner is a diluted acv and I must say it helped 40% of my skin problems it lightened my hyperpigmentation and most of my bumps are gone because of it
Hey Raquel, thanks for sharing info about acne on the RU-vid community. It's amazing to see good advice out there. I used to suffer from severe acne and I know that it can be hard to find good info. Thanks again form sharing your experience. x
