great tutorial!! my preferred clip is the Irish pattern -- the neck and shoulder and belly, but the line goes down to the stifle vs taking any hair off the hind quarters. it's perfect for my TB gelding who sweats heavily on his neck, but otherwise wants to keep as much hair as possible.

Wow, so satisfying! Loved the tip with the hot-clothing at the end! I just clipped my miniature shetland for the second time this winter. He gets a ful clip even though he has a rather light workload, but he has some skin issues (dandruff and very itchy). Keeping him clipped just makes skincare so much easier as I wouldn't be able to get the products onto the skin otherwise...

Honestly if I was a horse , I'd definitely have to have a whole lot of ketamine before hand. It would freak me out. But what an excellently patient horse . You do an amazing job at doing what you do best. Your circle in the flank area is phenomenal You have a great voice .

What blade do you use in your large clippers? I can’t buy Liveryman clippers in the US, so I’m trying to find something that will work comparably.

I've got a very sensitive thoroughbred who finds clipping absolutely horrifying. When buying him and giving him his first clip, I've assumed he would be well used to clipping being an ex national hunt horse... Wrong. I could do his body (mostly), but then halfway through his neck he had a meltdown and there was nothing that would stop him from freaking out. Tried just having clippers or trimmers switched on next to him, to get him used to them, then bought earmuffs that he would not let me put into his ears and eventually twitched him as made an absolute mess of his head in all my attempts. Since that day, he's even patchier and more head sensitive than ever. Still trying to gain his trust back. Decided I won't clip him anymore this winter, but the next one might try with intravenous sedation. Starting to think even that might not be enough. Have you ever had such a sensitive horse like that and if yes, what would you suggest? Thanks
