yeah, I read about webrtc server, if we want to live stream our webcam to nodejs server we need a webrtc server, there are some articles about this topic with source codes, but I am confused, seems RTMP is the technology to broadcast live stream to everyone with low latency, but why live stream obs instead of webcam ? we can live stream with our webcam in mobile devices to nodejs server and allow everyone to watch it, I think that's more practical and useful than obs, right, because with obs you gotta have a desktop or labtop computer, but with webcam all we need is a smart phone, and we can broadcast live stream anywhere anytime we want. I think that's what people need and want, right ???
That’s a good idea for a video! I used RTMP because that’s what OBS outputs and is also used by twitch/RU-vid. I could make a video using WebRTC after though!
There are some mobile apps that are like obs and let you stream your camera! It could also be done with WebRTC, I’ll try to make a series on that after!
Great videos, I like them :D and I hope you can help me with this: I'm trying to build an online radio using node js. I just want it to play a given audio file to the client, but all clients should be listening to the same song at the same time. I checked ur "How To Code A Video Streaming Server in NodeJS" video, I need the same thing, but all clients should be able to watch the movie at the current instance.
awesome, can we simply send our webcam stream via restul api or socketio to nodejs server and let everyone views it ? do we have to go through RMTP protocol ?
