I use it on electrical extension cords and garden hoses. When I was in theatre we could perhaps a hundred short and long cables at the end of a show, and untangled them setting up the next show. The right way is easy to remember ... cause you are OVER-worked and UNDER-paid ... never met anyone who thought that didn't apply to them.
I was coiling an air hose into a bucket and struggling and knew there'd be a better way on RU-vid. Score, thanks, Once in a great while RU-vid is not a complete waste of time. I learned how to coil extension cords here too.
May need to break it down for the slower out there: which way hold hose: pointing away from you , same direction as thumb, which way hold hand that twists the hose, etc. Not complaining, I just coiled my air hose, it looked like your first demo when I got it out this p.m., I watched your demo 4 times, then did it. Thanks.
Good method, I'll have to try that out. What is the fitting you are using on the end of the hose line into the tool, it seems to articulate pretty well.
It's a Oetiker Swing Connector. It has a really interesting method of coupling and un-coupling. I don't know if the connectors would handle getting kicked around the dirt on a job site but they are good for a shop environment.
It has great cold weather performance, much better than PVC and polyurethane. I don't know if it would hold up well to a lot of oil and solvents though.
