So I specialize in mental health articles. Many therapeutic clinics don't list their e-mail address on their website, they simply link to a form one can fill out and send. Should I plug my cold pitch letter (that I downloaded from you, you beautiful, giving soul!) into these Contact Us forms, or would it be more effective and professional to send a posted letter instead? Hi Colleen, thanks for the great tips! When a blog states that they're not accepting any guest posts/submissions, all else being equal, would you still send them a cold email to present yourself, your services and ask for a call?
I cold/ warm pitch... prospects show interest... they hop on a zoom call and agree to my pricing... we agree to touch base on a specific date to get started... and when the day comes they say they are facing some problem on their end or go cold......... what do I do to solve this? Is this a normal part of the process?... Should I try to get them to pay in the zoom call itself (eg. through a limited time discount)???
It's normal. Usually if they go cold, it's a no and they just don't have the courage to say so. Definitely try to get them to agree on the call, but not by offering a limited time discount. Have them sign a contract and pay a deposit before even put the project on your calendar.
Quick question: What if potential client's website only has a "contact us" form and no email address to email directly? Is it okay to cold pitch to them via their "contact us" form?

I would say there's nothing actually stopping you from cold pitching without a website. However, I strongly recommend it as a platform for portfolios because it makes you seem professional, helps with branding, and will be easiest for clients to get a full picture of your freelance business.
