Just came from labcorp and they gave me a bag with three vials with absolutely no verbal OR written instructions. This video helped so much.

Quest Diagnostic staff told me to put my hand in the toilet bowl and collect specimen that way.I told them where they could put theres.

Quest diagnostics gave me some 2 vials and asked me collect with no instructions. I asked for a scoop and they provided. Not sure how much to collect though as the vials have no marker

@@austin426512 Same, no instructions, no paper. I asked, Do I return it here? No, we don't do stool samples here. --- What??

@@sl4983 they told me to freeze it and get back the samples.thankfully it all went well. Call the other centers and check if they take the stool samples.

I agree quest gave a paper bad with the stool hat,and collection cup but no scoop to collect the feces.. I asked does this come with a video? How do u use this thing? She told also put it in the freezer if you are dropping off the collection after ward

@@austin426512,Quest gave me four tubes 2 clear with no liquid & two with a orange lid & one with black lid both has liquid & fill line they told me two put it in the freezer but I can't remember which one i called Quest they're closed today don't know what to do.would you tell me what lid colors were yours for the freezer?

The physician orders a stool specimen to be examined for ova and parasites. What is the proper procedure for collection of this specimen by the nurse? (a) Refrigerate the specimen until it can be delivered to the lab (b) Send the entire stool immediately to the lab (c) Take feces from several areas of the bowel movement (d) Use a sterile container Could anyone answer this for me? Pls?

1 may 2024 10 am edt ( utc-4 ) : so 2:15 show repetition of process of using that spoon to insert feces to vial until feces-amount appear on fill-line ( maximum-feces-amount-line ) ? but 1:34 does not show repetition only show 1 feces insertion to vial . 1 may 2024 10:29 am edt ( utc - 4 ) : maximum-feces-amount-line should have been maximum-feces-amount-plus-preservative-liquid-line-amount 1 may 2024 9:31 am edt ( utc - 4 ) : sorry , 2:15 show different vial which is empty does not contain preservative-liquid 11 may 2024 8:54 am est ( utc - 4 ) : feces-exam is not accurate method to check parasite-existence . i submit feces-inspection and receive this report : ova + parasite exam final report No ova, cysts, or parasites seen . 1 negative specimen does not rule out the possibility of a parasitic-infection. so in addition to not being accurate , feces-collection-for-feces-inspection 1:23 is disgusting , i don't want to do feces-inspection .

Same for me from Quest diagnostics. I felt embarrassed to ask the lady, thought to check in RU-vid. How much did you fill?

@@austin426512 haha it was like 3/4 full if im remembering correctly.also make sure to put the date you collect it.i was told not to hand it in on a friday because by the time theyd send it to the labs itd be too old, hope everything comes back clear for you

@@annansubuga8307 thanks! Mine is a big vial with 3-4 cm diameter. 3/4 would lot of $hit.. I had to ask her and get a scoop. She asked me to freeze it for few hours before dropping. This will go in my freezer with other food items ! Yuck!! I will hand over this Monday.
