Hi Jennifer, I love seeing Crayola on your channel. I have done a video on different products of Crayola. You might want to try the Crayola Oil Pastel which are fabulous and they are water-soluble.
You can absolutely still color with Crayola. Even though I have my prismacolor, black widow, arteza, and castle pencils, I bought the entire crayons set with the entire Crayola color pencils set. They are still useful. It's all about the principles of coloring that's important. As long as you use highlights, midtones, and shadows, your coloring pages will look good. Also layer the crayon colors. I was always told that I was a good colorist when I was younger. Now I understand why. I was using techniques like layering. I would not leave my background white. I would use gradient background colors, etc. So Crayola crayons still rock in my book.
