I have auburn reddish brown hair. Now that grays are coming in, I tried the Red Raj henna with a couple scoops of Indigo, and Aloe Vera powder. I also used distilled water, and distilled vinegar with salt in the water. I heat it up slightly on the stove then let the mixture sit in covered Tupperware in a warm stove. After applying it my hair never felt healthier, and it looked more vibrant than using chemical dye as well as vegetable dye. It completely covered my grays, and looks like my original color. I got lots of compliments about my hair at work. Ever since trying it the first time a month ago. I have decided to just use your products, and have placed another order. No more chemicals, and vegetable dyes I look for natural products in everything I need to use now. I wanted to post my experience to let others know it is much better for your health, and works.

Used to dye my hair with henna for years and I loved it. But then I suddenly wanted to go blonde and so I had a few years of my blonde journey. Now I have chemically dyed my hair red again for some time but I feel so ready to go back to the natural way. This recipe seems great, I feel excited to try it 🤩

I'm assuming that you've used the copper henna. It sounded like you did but yet we can't see how it looks. Visuals are always extremely helpful when it comes to hair color even though we ‘re all pretty much starting with different colors. It would help those of us that might want to make comparisons.

Heya (Ramadan mubarak btw!), I used this video as guidance for my recent henna experiment and just wanted to report back. Firstly, it was a great success, but i'll give some background and info about what I did (2 days ago). I first used henna about 8/9 years ago. I have very fine, medium brown hair and very sensitive skin. When I first started using it everyone online seemed to be saying I had to use very acidic mixtures to get it to work. I would use lemon juice in my mixtures and I would get terrible itching (it was so bad it kept me awake), both during the dying process and up to a week after. My hair would initially be very dry. Another issue I had was the ends and mid length would get too dark over time with repeated dying. I decided to let the henna grow out in 2020 and started using box dyes again. Several disasters later I realised I needed to make the henna work for me. Cut to 2 weeks ago when I started reseaching how to minimise or solve the previous issues I had with henna. This video definitely helped (thank you!). This is what I did: 1) No more lemon juice. I used 2 hibiscus tea bags in 600ml of hot water and let it sit for a couple of hours. I heated it slightly before adding it to the powder and topped up with water. 2) I added a tablespoon of aloe vera powder like Khadija suggested. 3) I did some patch tests on some hair I gathered from my brush and some white merino wool (I needle felt so I already had some) and added cassia in different ratios to figure out what shade I liked best. 4) I settled on 70% henna and 30% cassia and once mixed with the aloe vera and hibiscus tea I took it to bed (it sat at my feet) and applied it when I woke up. 5) I originally intended to leave it in for 4 hours, but got distracted, and because the mixture wasn't itching (it actually felt very cosy) I ended up leaving it for over 5 hours. I have a fantastically rich light auburn colour now, that i'm very pleased with, and my hair texture is just fabulous! The best it's ever been. I can't believe how soft and glossy it is, and so much more manageable (fine hair is an absolute nightmare to manage). I know it will oxidise a bit more and fade a bit over the next couple of washes, but I predict i'm going to have a very pleasing colour long term. Also, my skin hasnt dyed as much as it used to for some reason, and the dye that was left has been easier to remove (miscellar water and cotton wool). What's more, I have NO ITCHING(!) which I assume is because I yeeted the lemon juice and added the aloe vera. I plan to increase the cassia a bit when I do the roots, or leave it on for less time to avoid too much build up. I recommend anyone with fine hair and sensitive skin try the hibiscus and aloe vera combo. And try the cassia also. The consensus seems to be that it improves texture, and mine is definitely improved.

@FadedOwl84 Год назад
Hi, she talks a Lil about your question at 11:24 mins into the video. I've used these products for yrs & highly recommend. Once you achieve the tone you want after maybe 2-5 application. Go outside and look at it, for best perception. IMO and experience I'd only touch up ur roots, once color preference is achieved. It will get darker, more on the brown side the more you apply. But yes, if you have a lot of grays you will see orange for a couple days. Which a cute boho wrap or anything of your preference will cover that. For me I didn't care. It changed so quickly, I'd barely notice. Enjoy the day you do it, like a spa. Self care is the best care. Hope this helps

@HennaSooq
@HennaSooq 11 месяцев назад
Hello there! No, you don’t have to use lemon juice as your primary, and only liquid ingredient in your henna (herbal) hair recipe. So many people would have turned away and abandoned henna and natural herbal hair care, if they thought they could only use lemon juice. Lemon juice is acidic, and can be very drying on your hair. You can add a small splash of lemon juice, if you’d like. We usually add a bit of lemon juice. The most highly recommend liquid to use is warm water. You can even use tea (any variety of your choice), or coffee brews as well (for dryer scalps be careful with these as they can also be a bit drying). Chamomile tea has become quite popular to use in henna hair recipes. We hope this helps!
