I dunno if you care but i found many youtube people actually apricate detailed comments....so i thought id share a little back story....I own and run a crystal store i make custom pendants i like to polish by hand and wire wrap them. I recently got into making high quality custom beaded necklaces for my customers its be a trial and error process every time i learn something new im reminded that it may sound simple but it rather deep and technical. Seeing my customers go crazy for my artisic creations is pretty awesome.....I love this video it has given me so many ideas on different things i can try it was extremely clear i just know with what i learned from just this one vid the my creations are going be improved thanks for sharing you methods

This is gorgeous. I love this design. Question on the wire protectors: Do you need to pinch the wire protector at all? I usually squeeze mine so the ends are touching. I believe I read that in some instructions I got with them, so I was a bit surprised that you didn't pinch/squeeze the wire protectors closed at all. Or is that a stylistic choice with this design? Again this necklace is absolutely gorgeous and I was so excited to see this video in my notifications, this is exactly one of the instructional videos I have been waiting for. 😁

For us it's a stylistic choice. We've pinched them closed in past videos, and kept them open on others, and it's not clear to us that one method is stronger than the other. One of the reasons wire protectors are so useful is that they keep your loops wide and prevent them from bending in on themselves too sharply during any sort of quick strain, and that helps keep the wire and crimps strong. They do that job just as well open or closed.

crimp rounds or tubes.. lightly crimp it on each side of the bead... is that what you ment??

If it's on a chain you could attach it with an additional jump ring to a loop of chain in the middle of the length of the chain/necklace.

If you're using a thin chain designed for beading there are small silicone bumpers available that work well for this. We have a video on them here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nMOzprTAciw.html Crimp covers also work well for this same technique, if you'd like a bit of functional decoration on either side of your pendant.

What would we use in place of the strand reducer if we’re only doing 1 single necklace? Just a lobster clasp and jump rings?

Yeah that's what I'd recommend, I think a lobster clasp would look very nice for this sort of look. A smaller toggle clasp would work too.

Do you dip or spray your finished product in something so it doesn't tarnish or rust?
