I've been doing Cayo since Day one, and I didn't realize until today that you could cut through the beach party while scoping. Man, learn something new everyday.
Theres a slightly faster way of doing the setup for the plasma cutter. When you enter the safe house to take a photo for Pavel, you can just run up to the table infront of the door and take a photo of the whole room (it should count). Then, just turn around and head out👍

driving the sub into the beach and using mk2 is a little faster too. the merry weather sonar prep should be done last so you can fast travel there and then start the heist immediately after. another tip is going into first person while you are in the submarine. it will make navigation a little easier.
Hey! Thanks for the video! By the way, if you use Kosatka approach, it's good to do the prep mission for it as the last one since you can start the heist straight away after finishing the prep and it saves a few fast travel cutscenes to sub and back to city.

I use my missles on my sparrow when doing the plasma cutter prep. Way faster than calling another vehicle in and switching to that and then back to sparrow. When you can just blow them up with sparrow and take plasma cutter and back to sub in just a couple mins. And the sub prep with the sonar, it's much easier to fast travel like you did to the location. But you want to drive sub above the enemy one (go under water and park right above it ) only enemy's to deal with are in the sub. Then when done you swim back into your sub and the mission completd immediately.
I usually drive the sub, dive and use the auto pilot to keep my sub right next to the entrance of the merryweather sub, then when you have the sonar jammer, it takes about 10 seconds to swim back, I also do it last and launch the heist the second I get back in the sub. Also, for the weapons, always have your sub and the beach and if you get the merryweather hq mission, you can just launch a cruise missile from your sub to blow up the helicopter, then simply walk back to the planning screen to start the mission again which can give you one of the other missions and save time loading into a new session
just a tip for the loadout prep mission you can go all the way to the left and look at the colum thats 4th from the right and when the first nuber shows up move up or down to complete the hack
If you own a phantom wedge you can spawn it right next to police station and save a lot of time doing longfin approach. Also phantom wedge that you must steal has armed guards that slow you down too. Best approach vehicle IMO and no cross map travel
I can literally do that mission so fast now that I bought it but would recommend to kill all the cops and swat that are sitting there then killing your self so you can just spawn in your wedge and go directly to the docks without the cops unless that’s what you do then your a smart man
When it comes to the circuit breaker near the tower, if the guard is outside, the breaker it above. No guard outside, the breaker is on the floor level
When doing kosotka approach vehicle, you can drive your sub close to other sub, exit via swim pool and swim from sub to sub in 10secs, once youve got the equiptment its pretty hard to fail, just swim to the middle of your sub to enter swimpool.
The way I get to the radio tower I bypass 90% of the guards. I go to the beach party area then either swim/ run along the rock face to the dock area , staying to the shoreline to a crossover spot... a gap in the security , then its a short run up the hill to the tower.
For the sub prep i drive the kosatka up to the merryweather sub, put it on autopilot, and just swim to the sub, i don’t deal with planes or boats at all…
3:06 you don't get spotted jumping the mountain if you approach and make the jump the first time. If you hit a tree/or cock up the jump after the guard at the mountain spawns, that is the only time you can get spotted. Have to wait till the guard turns away then.
Was super confident that I’ll be doing the Cayo Heist. Idk where I’ve messed up that it makes me go through the front gate - the set up screen for me it’s all messed up and I can’t tell which one is which. 🎉
Did you know for the really tall cobstruction site you can land on the top bit above the guards and u dont have tp take the elevators which saves quitecalot of time and makes it probably the easiest spawn out of them all
15:45 you don’t need to walk all the way into the safe house, take a couple steps and immediately take out your phone and take a picture of the room and it will work to send to Paval
You'd save even more time when you beach your kosatka. Less way to fly. Also Opressor mk2 let me do preps like a good 5 mins faster compared to the sparrow.
@@jonw4178 Sure thing, the sparrow is the faster vehicle. But, you don't have to "dismount" the mk2 to pickup the plasma cutter, landing on rooftops or tiny spaces is way easier and faster, liftoff is faster. So all in all, if you beach your kosatka at the correct beach and use the mk2 instead of the sparrow, you are way faster. If you don't believe me, try it out yourself. Or, just have a race for preps against me.
When I scope out I just follow the left coast line around the island on the bike around the edge of north dock wheelie hop over the dock entry water the jump the cliff just left of the guard shack follow it around cross road and zip up hill to tower it’s fast and efficient at the tower in no time
Also when doing sub as entry i fast travel to closest point then drive the sub to the area right click on dpad to open periscope torpedo the enemies then go under water to the other sub that way you have a short swim to it and my sub is right there waiting on exit to swim up and enter to complete mission
Sparrow's fine but sometimes (if sparrow blows up) you can also use the oppressor- you can actually land it on the sub just make sure you click return vehicle before entering sub otherwise it will fall in the water. It's good for the plasma cutter and landing on rooves.
If you land on the nose of the sub, you should be fine to leave it there, plus it is faster than the sparrow. I do cayo alot and the Opressor is the best thing to do, makes it much faster.
I use the mkII for preps. When landing in the Kosatke I park it in the "roof" between the "fences". That way the mkII doesn´t slide to the ocean. Then I enter (and then exit) the sub by the rear hatch.
6:47 you should land your sparrow directly in the water in the center of the circle where it says the merryweather sub is at. Although you wont have the sparrow to return to ur sub, the dingy is actually faster because it spawns close and you dont have to swim as far. I usually request my dingy & then my sub right before i land the sparrow in the water before i enter the merryweather sub & my dingy will be waiting in the same spot upon my exit from the merryweather sub as well as my sub will also be closeby and i'll have a short boat ride to my sub. One time I requested my sub right before I exited the merryweather sub and it said my sub had arrived and was nearby, but it wasn't and once I realized it wasn't spawning or nearby I then had to wait 2 min to re-request my sub. I had to get chased in my dingy by those enemy helis while I waited for my sub, but (pro tip follows:::) fortunately I take out the gunner on the side of each enemy heli as soon as i enter my dingy before starting the boat ride to my sub, so the helis that were chasing me were weaponless; which is better than taking out the pilot of each enemy heli & destroying each one, as I used to do, bc they will respawn and come with new gunners too, so if you just take out the gunner you prevent new helis from spawning and also remove the only weapons of the enemy helis. this method of landing the sparrow in the water & using dingy to return to ur sub is generally faster than having to land the sparrow and swim to & from it, but especially when there aren't any nearby islands or places to safely land the sparrow. I used to land on the nearest island, request my dingy, then ride dingy to the circle, but this new method of landing sparrow in the water saves a lot time because the swim to the merryweather sub when you arrive is very very short. Nevertheless, you may hate the dingy or love the sparrow so much that you must continue returning to your sub in a sparrow and if so then so be it. but for me I just enjoy sending my sparrow in the ocean & knowing it is hella efficient as well as free to replace so why the hell not especially since taking the dingy is faster to return to ur sub bc the swim to it is also much shorter than swimming back to the sparrow wherever you were able to land & if it is still there whether another player destroyed it, some freak weather destroyed it, or a mysterious glitch just made it disappear and it simply isn't where u left it so it is presumably destroyed. Perhaps another player even stole your sparrow while you were in the merryweather sub, but this is less likely than the other reasons as only noobs or shark card philanthropists allow other players to enter let alone drive any of their vehicles. Please excuse this lengthy albeit seemingly relevant digression.
Pro tip just drive submarine to merry weather sub, get sonar and deliver it before helis even appear! Little slow to drive there in kosatka, but then no dealing with helis and no trip back to sub, I find to be much more convenient
This will be my first time doing the heist I thought I had to get ALL the optional things done in order to make the heist easier on myself. Side note, how did you get that awesome turret on your custom van?
What I do when I get the mile high club location for the cutting torch is I fly my sparrow to the very top and they still don’t get alerted if you land by the helmet
when i fly the velum, i've found if i stand next to it and press triangle to enter, the door always stays open. but if i press square to climb up onto the wing and then triangle the door closes 100% of the time after i get in for me

i do many things better than him (including the compound as i just run without to kill all, Shortest time inside. plus the finger prints very fast) and it's close to 1hour per all. You can see he's fake when he fast forward at the beginning, 3 minutes need to fly the Velum,,, The only thing I didn't knew was to find new session (before was taking too much time to join a private only)after you seen primary target (not sure if it's mandatory for second target, but before was ) beaching kosatka + mk2 (which is BETTER than sparrow) it's the fastest way as you won't need to fly over the water etc,,,
Dude I absolutely love your content, you’re have a very underrated channel but the title of the video is kinda misleading, you did this in almost 40 min, you missed recording starting the heist where you have to teleport close to the plane location, other thank that it’s cool, I know this isn’t a oficial speedrun, this is just a feedback, I’ve learn so much about this game because of you! You gonna need to redo the video as the guards movements have changed...the guard at the start now walks down toward the entrance instead of just standing there and several other changes
Ive done cayo solo like 4 or 5 times. The 1st i got the neckless but everytime after its just been the bonds! Anything i can do as far as set up that might change my main steal besides bonds? Tips please bro
@@SYF_Productions I do the same trick all the time. But just to make sure... As soon as I'm done on the cams, i change to a saved outfit and wait for that small gold saving circle on the bottom right and then load a new session. That way the game saves. Try it out next time
Hello I'm doing the cayo heist for the first time and i'm following your guide. However when im going to do the equipment setup for the plasma cutter, i can't see the plasme cutter option? Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance
Because you have a other primary target. When your doing Cayo for first time you get mini madrazo docs which is in the safe so you have the safe code option instead of plasma cutter
I honestly think a lot of these comments here are fake to promote these type of videos. It's made me angry too because I too once believed this bs, total waste of money buying the sub. You're better off running businesses.
This time is overall not realistic. You had lowest power tower, quickest sonar, shortest volume flight, not merrywether weapons More likely it will take 45min-1 hr
The game lied! It tells me that damaging the security camera will also alert the guards so I had to either cut their power or avoid them. Had no idea you can just shoot them down and no one would show up..
