I tried to make this as simple and thorough on how to remove a passenger side air bag and removing the dash on a volkswagen golf gti mark 6 mk6 2011. i hope this helps you with your project on removing the the dash and doing it yourself

Thanks for the tutorial. is it possible to slide the dashboard in/out, by dismantling only the airbag and the steering wheel without removing the 2 levers (stalks)? I see some room in the hole underneath, and I'm wondering if we can play with the Dash diagonally!

This was really impressive! Great job! I gave you a like and subscribed I have a 2013 VW Golf TDI and ive searched the internet for about 6 hours and cant figure out how to access the brake light switch about the brake pedal. Theres no visible screws so im assuming I might just have to pop out the pieces? Would you recommend buying some kind of book or something that would be helpful?

Hi, I was punching dashboar for some noise, can it cause freon leak if I damaged something?

It's because you need to remove the head unit first. When removed you can see that the middle air vents are bolted with 2 screws from the bottom. I did this 12 hours ago.
