My husband and I started trying for our first baby a few months ago. I have a strong preference for girls (no shame here) so I wanted to try the Shettle's method. We agreed if we didn't get pregnant after 3 months we'd have sex closer to ovulation and just try to get pregnant. Well fortunately we got pregnant on the first try and I was super hopeful that we had good chances of conceiving a girl because I'm pretty sure I ovulated at least 48 hours, if not 3 or 4 days, after we stopped having sex. We did the Panorama test at 10 weeks and I just got my results back today, and it's a girl! We can't believe how lucky we are! To get pregnant on the first try with exactly what we wanted! 💖

We did this method with our first baby and we had a girl 👍🏻 then when it was time for baby number 2 we wanted a boy so we did it on the day of ovulation and we had a baby boy. I’m a believer that it works!
@@Ria.rakshan2016 Female sperm are a lot sturdier and long lasting than male sperm. So you need to have sex starting on your first day of your period up until 4 days before ovulation, so in those 4 days, the male sperm is more likely to die and when the ovulation starts, the surviving female sperm will still be there to enter the egg. Also, try eating foods that will make you vaginal ph more acidic, since male sperm don't survive as well in harsher environments as female sperm does.
My husband and I tried this method in attempt to conceive a girl and it worked for us! I had a very regular cycle, and we tried for the baby 2 days before ovulation. This seemed to work for us! :)

this absolutely works and I'm surprised to see sometime talk about it! i did this for the first time 21 years ago! i had 3 boys, i wanted a girl lol i used this method with all 3 of my girls. i have to say, my cycles were always right on point, 28 days my intire life, even through not getting pregnant and trying for years. so i wouldn't chance it if you're having issues ttc. I'm also here to tell you, it doesn't matter of you never have that girl. there's nothing different, feelings as a mother.

I remember hearing many times that very athletic men, like runners, elite sports players, mma fighters etc are more likely to father daughters. Not sure if it’s do to the heat their body produces, higher testosterone or that female sperm are stronger and more likely to survive high intensity training. That actually makes sense in my case. When I had my two sons my husband was in school and spent most of his time studying, but when I later conceived my daughter he was doing a lot of running and mixed martial arts. She was the first girl produced in his family for 6 generations.
We did the Shettles Method to conceive my son and daughter. Idk if it was coincidence or not, but I have to say, it worked both times for us! GL! Hope u get ur girl❤
Passionate women tend to conceive boys. If you want a girl, while trying to conceive - be distracted, not interested, turned off. Women are stronger in sex so if you are both equally passionate it will be a boy. That's what I read in a Tibetan book. It certainly holds up to the theory in my experience. I suppose you will be able to tell if you are passionate or not and see for yourself if this is accurate.
I want to try this when we try for baby number 3, I have a toddler boy and more than half way through with baby boy number 2 😍 I've always wanted two boys first then a little girl obviously if I have a boy it wouldn't be a bad thing as boys are amazing but I've always dreamed of having a little girl ♥️ Congratulations btw x
I think also you must change your diet to make it more in favor of a girl, so eat chocolate, strawberries, eggs, other fruits. Refrain from pork, salty foods, that would increase the chances of having a boy.
@@kierstynzdroid It's about the acidity of the vagina. Male sperm is more fragile, dies fast and doesn't do as well in acidic environments as female sperm does. So there's some truth to it, since diet can influence your body's ph.

Did you also do the acidic diet? I wish I would’ve tracked my menstrual and ovulation cycle longer as well! I have all the symptoms of being pregnant, but haven’t confirmed it yet! We stopped trying to conceive 3-4 days before ovulation.. We’ll see if we finally get to have our baby girl! 🤞🏻🥺💕

The diet also is good, acid food and vitamins. Take prenatal vitamins three months before conception. Healthy diet and exercise is also good. Check your ph before intercourse acid is favourable for girls alkaline for boys.
I've always been a coffee meat momma and have 2 boys. I'm super acidic my secretions even bleach out my dark panties. I don't think girl sperm survive in acid Thats why vegetarians have more girls.

My husband and I are going through ivf and will be doing gender selection after having 3 boys. Doctor's do have a method of trying to pick out slow sperm vs faster sperm and this method has been debunked. It's not accurate. Plus ttc naturally, its hard to pinpoint exactly when ovulation occurs. My husband and I are having pgs testing done where they will scrape off some cells (this doesn't hurt the embryo) and look directly at the chromosomes so it's 95% accurate that way. I've actually received a bit of backlash for going through with gender selection. I've been told I'm selfish and should just be grateful for whatever I have. I'll be happy either way but since we're doing the pgs testing regardless I don't see a problem with trying. We could still end up with a boy. Like I tell the rude people, it's my money, my eggs and my baby so also my decision.
That's exactly what me and my husband are leaning towards with our last kid in a few years I'm not excited about the test and the price range but i don't like being told what i can what i can't have especially regarding wanting spoil love and cherish a little girl that is mine i love my boys don't get me wrong but my family will not feel complete until have my little princess to complete it

I don't know whether to believe in these things or not. For me i met my husband once on the 6th day after my periods but i still got a baby boy. Meaning this Y chromozom was to strong to die before ovulation
I used the method to try to conceive a boy and I did and got pregnant on the first try! We are trying for a girl next but I'd be happy with another boy, too.

I go back and forth between when I want my second child to be. Most of the time I want a second girl. But every time I walk past the boys clothing section in like a Walmart, I want a boy bad. I'm not sure if I should sway just a reason. I don't know though

Ugh this means I virtually have no chance for a girl lol. One thing is that my husband’s family has literally not sired a girl generations, and also due to my pcos, for me there’s just no way to know my cycle at all. Even with the ovulation tests. :/

This method wouldn't work if you have very iregular cycles like me (30-70days) and ovulated at different times every month or not at all but it's a nice idea xxx

Yes I wanted a boy first :-) but we didn't try anything with the boys, I get pregnant very quickly which was so lucky. This method is very effective for boys apparently. If you have a regular cycle you just try to conceive around when you ovulate, then wait in your early cycle. I think this is such a natural method it's fine to try to plan your family a little, and as you say, if it doesn't work out then it doesn't mean you would be upset. Xx
Use an ovulation predictor or even BBT thermometer if you have the patience and money. It helps you know exactly when you ovulate. Most women ovulate in the middle of their cycle so it depends how long your cycle is. Mine is 31 days and I ovulate around day 15. So I would have sex from day 8 - 12 if I were using this method.

you should dtd from the time you finish your period to kill males sperm then stop 5days before ovulation if it doesnot happen, nxt month stop having sex 4 days before ovulation continue like that until you get pregnant..i have 2 boys now we will be trying for a girl this year finger crossed🙏
