just WOW; the level of complexity and customer support Actisense has built up around analog signal conditioning and digital packetizing is astounding! I'm SO glad i can build these circuits and not have to Commercialize any of it !! What a headache !!
Hi, I am glad to hear you'll be installing an EMU-1 on your network. As for the tachometer readings, no you don't need anything special as the EMU-1 has Tacho inputs. The only thing that needs to be configured is the PPR. To configure the device, an Actisense NGT-1 is required.
Hi Benjamin, the EMU-1 will just monitor the voltage on the gauge input and use the parameter curve to determine what value this equates to. So you could possibly build a custom gauge to match that of the analogue gauge ensuring that they both follow the same parallel measurements. Garmin screens I have seen also have outdrive trim position and trim tabs positions. For twin engines with a lot of gauges and indicators I would need 2 emu?
