Hej Richard thanks for this 'very special' tip. I was quite frustrated when my mails weren't sent out anymore and all I got was a 'time out'. I was your student close to 10 years ago and I was able to do my application by just doing all your courses. @@599CDNice to hear from you. Right now I am looking for a person who could take over the application which I wrote for my daughters business. Her husband and her husband are in the carpentry and roofing business. Just want to make sure that she is taken care of. But up to now I couldn't find anybody in Sweden who does Access. Maybe you or somebody in your surroundings knows of a forum in Sweden which I can contact. I am willing to give it for free and it can be sold to other tradesmen as well. Take care and enjoy Mike

Thank for the video. I "experienced" this issue yesterday for the first time. I got it working yesterday with an App Password no problem. Today, I was prompted again for a password in Outlook so I had to set up a new App Password. It works again, but I thought you should only have to do this once. Any ideas on what to do to make the App Password perm?

You should set up a unique password for each app. Google knows! :)

I picked Microsoft excel as the app, and dad told me he wants every Office app, does that mean i’d have to set up new passwords for each app?

You can use the same password for multiple apps.

Thanks, but I need more help. I use raspberry pi with sensors to sent smtp emails when events are triggered using gmail and its login. Also I have two security camera's that use smtp and sent pictures of people passing camera to my email. Will this still work if I generate that 16 digit code and use that in my smtp. For my camera and pi are not official "apps". I really need a solution here. LIke you said it is not easy. It said on the web the code is only good for a one time use????? Please comment to my request for I am sure it has effected many people. I cannot get the old way to work with yahoo, or outlook, or aol. Did they also get on the band wagon like gmail? Thank you very much to respond to my questions and comments and observations.

This worked fine last year, but this no longer works either. Google is very frustrating at the rate that they shutdown functionality on stuff like this. I guess I am going to have to go with a dedicated SMTP service instead. (Thanks Google!)

When i typed my phone number and clicked on "next" i got the following message: Sorry, we can't fulfill this request at this time. Use a different phone number or a different method to receive codes, or try again later. I tried several times and i used several phone numbers, but i get the same message!!

Hey, I did as you describe, but i have some trailcameras out there but after it stop working 30/5. So I made the change after your video and the change works, but i dont get any mails from my trialcameras to my gmail. Using port 465, server smtp.gmail.com , those sim uses the 2G band. Can see by my simhero it sends pictures but dont get any, do you have any clue to resolve this issue i have.
