How to configure SDRconnect on Raspberry PI and access it remotely from the Windows computer

The purpose of this video is to demonstrate how to install SDRconnect on the Raspberry PI 4 and configure it as server software. Then to connect to this server with a PC running SDRconnect as a client software.
I will be talking about; needed hardware, software, Raspberry OS installation and customization as well as installation of the SDRconnect applications. Subsequent configuration and testing.
Why distributed installation and why bother
1. The range between the SDR receiver and the PC can be longer than maximum length of the USB cable, 15-25m.
2. Convenience of the Wi-Fi network. No cables, freedom of movement.
3. Extended range (up to 100m) and option to power with PoE.
4. Ability to move SDR receiver away from the local sources of interference, QRM.
5. Learn about the new SDRconnect software and test it.
6. Because it is a cool thing to do…

A very comprehensive explanation! Thank you. I just want to run SDR Connect exclusively from my Pi4. I use it to see how active the ham bands are before firing up my rig in the garage. Can I cut and paste the commands you used to get a more limited functionality. Ray VE2WEW thanks

Thank you for your interest and comment. I have not included any commands in the comment or description section. You can type them blindly, based on what you see in the video and it should work. There is very little customization done and a lot of limitations. It would be cool to run SDR connect as a service so it starts automatically after the reboot without the need to login. Good luck with your project.
