How To Connect A Mixer To A Laptop Or PC | Beringher Xenyx 802 | Audio Technica AT2020 Sound Test

I will show you how to connect an audio mixer or audio interface, the Beringher Xenyx 802 8 Input 2 Bus Mixer (this is not the USB version, the Q802) to a laptop or a desktop pc, with an audio test of Boya By M1 and Audio Technica AT2020 using audacity.
You will need a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to 2x6.35mm mono audio cable. Connect the Red plug into the out Right port on the mixer, and the black plug into the left out port of the mixer, and the 3.5mm standard plug into the microphone input of the computer. Make sure you select the correct microphone input from the setting of your computer or whichever app you are using, here we are using Audacity.

Thumbs up. I'm in the US. I know everybody is different. I say 3.5mm and 1/4" jacks. I think saying 3.5mm is the norm even when iphone's removed the 3.5mm jack, people called it 3.5mm and not 1/8". but 1/4" is much faster to say than 6.35mm - plus it seems more common to see parts advertised for 1/4" jacks. It's a weird world. I never want it to change.

when you was told about noise coming from the mixer, you might need to plug the stereo jack into a ground loop isolator then the laptop/pc i have the same mixer and i know the noise its like slight buzzing sound. good video very clear to the point.

Thanks for the video. It was easy to follow and I liked the examples... I have an AT turntable, my 1st AT product and like it and this video makes me want that AT2020 even though I don't need it at all! :) I watched this video to get some advice on my project of hooking up a Eurorack UB1202 (similiar mixer) , an AT turntable, and a sony minidisk player, through a computer at the end to do the editting in Audacity. Eurorack looks the same, just with a couple extra XLR ports.
