Hey guys,
In this video I will show you how you can connect adobe after effects with media encoder so please watch it till end and don't forget to leave a like,comment and subscribe !
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The text below which you have to copy is for 2015 version if you have any higher or lower version you must have to change it !!! FOR EX: if you have 2020 version so for you it will be mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2020" "(Paste Your Media Encoder Directory/Path Here)"

Mine both (After Effects and Media Encoder)were 2019 and my default install folder was also C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2019.. so I changed the left folder name to 2020 and it worked. mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2020" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2019"

For me the actual path and the thing alrdy written in the code is same so it says "cannot create a file when that file already exists" what should i do Edit : if you are facing same problem then read the replies to this comment.

@@MuntashirMamunTimu hey . i got the solution . it might help you. Your after effects version and the encoder version should be same . otherwise it won't work. Make sure u r on the same version. That's like "After effects 2020" and "adobe encoder 2020"

It Doesn't for mind maybe different version " Adobe After Effect 2018 and Adobe Encoder 2019" so that ok with that? The cmd said" MKLINK [[/D] | [/H] | [/J]] Link Target /D Creates a directory symbolic link. Default is a file symbolic link. /H Creates a hard link instead of a symbolic link. /J Creates a Directory Junction. Link Specifies the new symbolic link name. Target Specifies the path (relative or absolute) that the new link refers to.

I'm using adobe after effects version 2020 and media encoder version cc 2018 so change the first file path according to your after effects version and the later one to the media encoder version, that should do the trick. I'm giving my cmd code for a better understanding. mklink /J "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2020" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2018"

@@anettevanaga I found a solution...it isn't picking up cuz if ur using after effects 2018 then u have to use media encoder 2018 and the older or newer versions won't work

either change it from 'Keyboard Shortcut's' or it's probably because of nvidia game overlay, change it through GeForce experience

There's very important tip guys... If you find short cut for media encoder after the essential folder media encoder you should delete it first and everything will work. 😊😊😊

Idk if this is going to help but 1 maybe you forgot to include the mklink cause that one is important and 2. run cmd as an administrator . That helped me .

A little want to say, if the version of the CC 2020 Encoder Media is connected to after effect CC 2021, it won't be installed, because the version of the encoder is not the same, with a rich after effect cc 2021, if there is a medium of encoder

bri garcia. Nope it wont work, the only way to fix it is to have the same version for the two software like if your AE is CC 2020 then your AME should be CC 2020 as well
