In this video I will show you how I connected my Aquamaxx DCQ2 Skimmer to my Apex Controller using a 0-10 Volt Variable Speed Port, with Kessil control Cable Type 1.
Thanks for the excellent walk through! I'm in the process of installing my Apex for the first time and am wondering if you can give us some videos on setting up an Apex to work with the various parts from scratch, including how (& where on the Energy bar or Apex box...) to wire the various system modules /parts. There's a ton of advanced video's on Apex but...
So question, once the AC plug for the skimmer is removed, does it needs to plugged into a different outlet to supply power (just not on the Apex Energy Bar) or is it suppose to be unplugged once the 0-10v plug is used? That where I am confused at.
@@Stralnikov The answer is it does NOT need to be plugged into the Energy Bar, BUT it does need to be plugged into an outlet somewhere else, it basically gives you an additional outlet on the Apex Energy while being controlled by the module which is connected via the 0-10 VDM controlled by the type 1 cable as he listed above.
@@Theaquaplex Thanks for your prompt reply. I followed all your steps but the controller never changed to 44%. Also, would there be a way to actually control the skimmer from the Apex, rather than just turning it on/off?
@@Stralnikov thank you for your question, yes the purpose of using the 0-10 Bolt is to set the intensity of the pump using the Apex instead of the skimmer’s controller, if the percentage is not changing after following the steps it is possible that you are not using the correct VARSPED outlet. I would start by checking that step again as explained around min 4:49. Hope this helps 👍
