Connect RCA (Audio Video) to HDMI TV when the Component inputs have unsupported video signal. AV2HDMI Converter: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01... #FrontSeatGamer #AudioVideo #HDMI
Seriously. I just bought an og Xbox to play red dead revolver. My tv isn’t brand new, but it’s newer. It has av ports, but no av option to select from the home screen
So I’m not no smart person I don’t know how these things are or what they’re called but I recently got so bored so I just found my old wii and there’s random wires and I see that the main thing is the red white and yellow plug thing and when I look at the back of my TV there’s only two holes for the plugs to connect... then the rest are box shapes or whatever ( I have a samsung smart tv )
Thank you. Tried 5 other videos and two hours later I find your video actually that tells me where to put the power cable!! I get to play MArio for the first time in 25 years!!!
What a stupid comment why don't you include where you put the cables to helps everyone. Your the type of person that leave a review on Google of a restaurant but doesn't say the most important thing which is what did you pay
Thanks for your short, get to the point video. I disconnected the X Box and than when it was time to reconnect the X Box I struggled with those color coded cables, thanks to you I was able to reconnect again.
Thank you so much bro! I didn't want to trash my xbox 360 because my newer TV doesn't work with it but now I'm getting that connector and back to test drive unlimited I go!
Just FYI you don’t need the converter. The Green port on the tv shows Y / Video for a reason. It is a component/RCA in one port. You put yellow in green port, and audio as normal and tv will detect if it’s rca or component connection
Finally a very smart person. 🤝 I been trying to tell all this people you don't need an adapter 🤦🤣🤣🤣 they just see colors but don't even know what they mean. This setup works in any smart TV I play Nintendo 64 in any of my 2021 TVs with NO adapter
i'm pretty certain that the "Y" marking on the green colored input of a component does not mean yellow. you have the green one marked y, a red one marked pr, and a blue one marked pb. all the ones i've had if you plug the yellow composite a/v cable into the green, you'll get black and white pic. the tvs that are made to use the composite yellow vid cable with the tv's component jacks will have split color on the jack. it'll be marked with both green and yellow on the same jack. these are designed to be used as either composite or component.
Y is the symbol for Luma. If you see a mini DIN on some devices labeled "Y/C" That's for separated or S-Video. The same goes for the back of some Commodore video monitors. There's a Y for the luma (strictly greyscale) video and a C (for Chroma) to define the colours. Y/Pb/Pr or component divides the chroma into two for blue and red colours. Your TV you may have to go through the setup menu to reconfigure the composite video as it may only appear as black and white by default. Other TVs it probably does this automatically.
The brand he is talking about is the Wal Mart store brand "onn". I looked up this video because im having the exact same problem. I cant believe its so expensive and it doesnt even work for the older consoles. It only works with DVD players
Sooo awesome, who would’ve known 🤷🏻♀️ when in doubt try a RU-vid video out.. 🤣🤣 no really THANK YOU!!! It worked and we’re back in business when we actually thought we had a junk game... YES!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you so much for this video. After watching your video i just put my av cord in my tv and got my Merkury Innovations Arcade Fun Portable Gaming Console to play for my daughter on our TV i put the yellow in the green and red in the R and it worked.
great videos guys you have a sub from me. though I must laugh at myself and say that I came here looking for a solution on the AV cables and halfway through I completely remembered that I was using that same upscale that you have. because the component stuff was a nightmare to set up for me.
@@kevinvillalobos2475 if your tv has it, it would be in your settings. on mine it's always been hidden, but it would say something like "composite" to "component". but it depends on the tv
I have an av splitter so I can switch between any of my 7 consoles. If I were to plug it into this would it still work you think? I recently got a new tv and my ps2 only shows in black and white although my other systems seem ok
Hi! From what I can see on that TV back, it's basically the same as mine (hence no audio output at all to connect to an audio system). Have you had that issue too by chance? If so, did you find any solution? That's so annoying. Thanks in advance!
So I have question I brought me ps2 to hdmi and it’s good, I enjoy it, but I wanted to try and get the compatible cable, but my roku only have three plugs. Do I have to buy converter in order to work it or no?
Check your tv first before buying this kind of converter device. Your tv is “component in” only hence you need converter. my lg tv is “component in /av in” combo. In this case sticking yellow cable to green slot works just fine for me.
I have the exact same converter and the signal to the tv is a solid blue. The tv can still communicate with the DVD player I’m using, through tests you can do that turn off the device through the tv’s signal. So the video signal is shot. Have you experienced this before or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
The system I bought only has a yellow (video) and white (audio) cord. I plugged the video in and the audio into the L or R audio ports. The video is coming through but no audio. Is it necessary to have both ports for the audio to work?
But the problem with that box is that it doesn’t support 240p which majority of old games like PS1 games are :( TV keeps having a flickering screen fit when I install this Box
Try putting the yellow into all of THEM first and make sure your tv is on AV.Red and white in normal spots. It worked for me and I am elated I didn't have to buy that converter hopefully u won't have to either.
The component input is also a composite input because it says "color stream HD/video in". I know that because I have a Samsung TV. You will need to select "AV" on the TV input.
I might have to get an adapter like this. I can plug my ps2 in just fine, but there are some consoles that don't seem to work with my tv. Perhaps that just means that I have a bad cable for the ones not working though. I'll have to find an old tube tv to test it on.
If you have the option to use component why not use it? Granted your using a N64 which is world famous for trash video output.. but if your console supports a component signal why settle for crappy composite. You guys asking about ps2, guess what it supports component. And keep in mind these cheap little analog to digital converters add lag to your signal. If you need to buy a scaler, go buy a OSSC if your that determined to play on a modern tv via HDMI. Composite to this scaler = garbage in and worse garbage out. Ugh
I know this is a year later, and perhaps too late, but are you sure that there isn’t anything you need to adjust on the TV to convert the component Y inputti standard composite? It seems weird that it would label it “Y/video” if it didn’t have that feature. There must be something to let the TV know, because a Y Luma signal for component is much different than the composite signal, so I’m guessing there must be something in the TV’s menu to adjust what signal to expect for the input.
Hey my TV set up is alitle like yours, my system was working a few weeks ago I put it away and just pulled it out again but I can’t get it to connect for some reason (No signal) to tv. It turns on I’m using the same tv but no luck. I’ve tried multiple TVs old crt, still no luck any help? Should I just get the hdmi converter I’ve tried 2 av cables
Can you connect other way around. My hdmi port of my tv doesn't seem to work so was wondering if I can do it with my xbox one through the av ports on my tv?
