Canon Camera Connect is a free application which enables users to transfer images shot with Canon digital cameras (see below for compatible models) to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch via Wi-Fi and share these images in simple steps.
Features:
-This application provides the following features:
1) Connect the camera directly to the device (set the camera as a simplified access point) or join an existing Wi-Fi network (using a Wi-Fi access point)
2) Browse and save images stored in your camera using your device
3) Remote shooting with your device operation

Thank you so much for this video! I had discussed this with a few people who work in a camera shop and they stated there can sometimes be a few issues sorting this out because of peoples phones refusing to connect and things, but I followed your instructions and it works perfectly first time and so far every time. Ok I received my T6i yesterday. Why'd it take me like 2 hrs last night, another good 1/2 hr this morning and almost an hr not too long ago to try to get this? I hop on RU-vid, find your video in less than 1 min and I'm set up within 5 minutes. Omg... I'm coming to RU-vid immediately next time! Thank you for the tutorial!!

Press the < > < > keys to select [Wi-Fi function], then press < >. 4. Press the < > < > keys to select [ ] (Connect to smartphone), then press < > The camera's < > lamp will blink. 5. Press the < > < > keys to select [Easy connection], then press < >. Select [OK] and press < > to go to the next screen. 6. Operate the smartphone and connect it to the camera. Activate the smartphone's Wi-Fi function, then select the SSID (network name) ( ) displayed on the camera's LCD monitor. For the password, enter the encryption key

If you aren't seeing the Camera Access Point when you get to it, you have to reset the Wifi Settings. Go into WiFi Function and then General sett. and hit Clear Wifi Settings and go through the process again!

Is the wireless image viewing via a computer only available on the T6i and not the T6? On my T6 under my Wi-Fi function menu i only see the globe and a smart phone icons, unlike it is shown in this video where you have 5 icons in this menu.

I'd recommend the infrastructure connection. I tried it when I couldn't get direct connection to work. By going through your wifi connection, you can keep your phone's wifi connection running! It's much better imo.

I have an EOS 650D and that model has no WiFi. Can I use an SD card with WiFi in it, like the Toshiba flash air, in order to work with the app? I am struggling with this for a few weeks now and still nobody was able to help me out with it, on RU-vid or irl.
