How to connect Intellivision to TV (VCR and Scart)

This video contains details how to connect Intellivision console
to TV by using VCR and Scart connector. Intellivision console is
connected to VCR with RF cable. VCR is connected to TV with Scart cable.
In this video channel 3 was used. The other choice is to use channel 4.
Intellivision channel selector is located on the back side of console.

My current setup is a TV that only has a coaxial input and is connected to digital converter box so I can watch over-the-air channels. That means I also have an antenna connected to that same converter box. I am thinking about getting an old VCR. If I want my Intellivision as part of this setup, what would I hook that up to? With an RCA cable, would I connect the Intellivision to the converter box or the VCR? I am already assuming I connect the VCR to the converter box.

Any way to do this without having to buy a VCR?

I think that there is old fashion way to do it without VCR. I actually when I was younger I always connected it without VCR. I think that it was easier for me to find right channel by using VCR. If I remember correctly, there was also TV/Game switcher for Intellivision.
