Thanks a lot brother, it helped me to hook up my JVC SEA-80 equalizer to my Sharp Optonica SM-3636 amplifier. I was confused about connecting the tape deck but now all sorted. Great video!

When hooking The EQ up to the Tape Ins/Outs is everything EQ’d (Phono/Tuner/Aux/Tape) or just Tape. If answer is just Tape, would removing the bridges & hooking the EQ up through Pre/Power Amp terminals EQ everything (Phono/Tuner/Aux/Tape).?

Hi, thank you for comment and for subscribe. You have 3 possible situations: 1. Eq connected to tape in/out and you will have all inputs EQ ed, but this tape input it will be occupied in case you want to connect another Tape deck you should connect it behind EQ. 2. Remove amplifier bridges and connect there EQ , pre out - power in. Eq ed all inputs. 3. Just connect on one input of amplifier the Eq output and Eq input connect to your audio source. Eq ed only that audio source. Cheers and good luck !

I have a Pioneer SX 750 receiver and a Pioneer SG-9 Graphic Equalizer. I'm in extreme Dire need of assistance. Please direct me in how to hook, both the two up if at all possible? As, I'm a "Newbie 101" in this field. I thank you kindly in advance.

Hi and thnak you for comment and for subscribe. I suggest to watch carefully the movie how i connect the cables between Amplifier and Equalizer. It will be same to SX750 - you have to connect EQ to Tape 1 exactly like in the video and after that on front of SX750 turn the knob TapeMonitor to position 1. Good question, another solution is to buy four female 4mm jack speaker connectors + 4 wires (8 inch / 20 cm each), solder one end of cable on each connector and the other end connect it on existing amplifier binding posts. I think this is the easiest method to have connection for 4mm jacks speaker cables. Cheers and good luck!

Nice, i have now on bench one SX 1250 for full restoration and i have in mind to record all process. Tx9500 -> SX1250 aux SG9800 -> sx 1250 tape2 CTF 1000 -> Sx 1250 tape 1 Cheers and good luck !

Hi, can you please show us how to connect an RG-2 Dynamic expander and a SR-303 Reverberation Amplifier together with an sg equalizer to an SA 7800, much obliged in advance

Hi, thank you for comment and for subscribe! You have more options to connect RG and SR with SA 7800. For me the fastest one is to connect RG on Tape 1 and SR on Tape 2. I don't have them now for a video recording. You can watch this video and how i made connections for EQ is same for RG and SR. Another option is to connect SR in series with RG and after that connect to SA7800. Cheers !

How to connect if amp has no Tape monitor switch?

Hi, thanks for comment. You have two more options: First one is to disconnect the bridges between preamp and power amp and connect there eq. Second one is to connect the eq between the source input signal and input of amplifier. Good luck!
