"I got an error like failed to connect to non-global ctrl_ifname: wlan0 error: no such file or directory after execution of sudo wpa_cli -i wlan0 reconfigure ". What should I do?
When you run the command ifconfig, what interfaces show up? Do you even see a wlan0? Did you start with a clean install of the OS? Did you already have WiFi configured with a USB dongle or anything like that?
Hi @@raspberrystreet2514 i`ve had the similar problem as Sidhardha Kotipalli after execution of sudo wpa_cli -i wlan0 reconfigure --> "failed to connect to non-global ctrl_ifname: wlan0 error: no such file or directory. Ifconfig once shows wlan0 without ip adress and next dont show wlan0... The Rpi was in the different network(router) connected using wifi dongle and everything was working without problem. After changing ISP and trying to connect to new router suddenly i`ve had no way to connect using wifi. If you have any sollution for that i will be very grateful ! :) Thanx for the video !
