How to Connect Ring Cameras to Amazon Echo Devices Alexa (2019 Update) 

I spent 2 days trying to set this up without success, watched this video and had it done in 20 minutes, thank you, very impressed.

Update 7/21: The Ring App. Let’s you Link Alexa directly without having to go the Alexa App., and search for the skill.

I didn’t get the option “discover device”

i followed all of the steps, but when I ask Alexa to show me front door it states "I found more than one device with the name front door. Please give them unique names..." There is no way to change the names of the devices so I don't know how to get Alexa to differentiate from my front door and my mother's front door which I have a shared access to view. Any suggestions?

My echo show 5 will not connect to the ring. I keep getting a “Try Discovery Again” message.

No work. Amazon ask email address, and I do all and he tells me that I can't use this e-mail.

It is now Jan. 2022..and the process is out of date...but.... I was able to use your version... related it to what I saw on my phone..and I was able to link the Ring 3 to my Alexa. Thank you!

I keep getting “front door isn’t responding” any suggestions?

Being an owner of multiple ring devices and Alexa enabled tablets this has helped big time....... struggled to link ring to any but this info put me on the right path. I can now gain access to ring devices throughout the home now there's nowhere for the crims to hide without having eyes on. Especially now crime is on the rise due to the pandemic and collapsing economies around the world. Massive respect to you from the UK Have a safe merry Christmas.

Having a problem connecting echo 5 to ring

While your video was helpful in connecting ring/phone/front door .... I already had done that. Your Video title says "How to connect Ring Cameras to Amazon Echo Devices Alexa (2019 Update) ...HOWEVER .. I need to connect my mom's Echo SHOW to the ring device. :( My mom does NOT want to have to pick up her phone etc etc to see who is front door. This video, while well done, did not help me. :(

Wish you would show it's use in the other direction. Meaning I want to see how it works when someone rings the doorbell. I'd like to see what happens with both the Echo Show and something like an Echo Dot.

Hi I'm having a hard time connecting my ring it says no devices found. I authorized the ring app and it's still not finding cameras

Why can't they automatically show live feed on Echo show. That's just stupid. Google already did that. Basically google took amazon product and made it better. Amazon, I felt cheated purchasing this stupid device.

When I first filled in the login details for my Ring Doorbell Pro, I was not asked for an email address. All I was asked for was my first and second name. Now when I try your instructions in trying to link them both, it is asking me for an email address. Why is this and what should I do to rectify it? TIA.

Hi All, I have a Ring Doorbell 3 with an Echo Show 8 and have it set up so it comes on the screen when someone presses the Doorbell only but it only shows on the Echo Show 8 screen for like 15 seconds, by the time you get to the screen the live preview is over, is there anyway to extend this? Good video but for some reason the motion announcements for ring won't work and I cab only get my front door camera to display on the upper level of my home 🥴🥴🥴. I've read online that the new update has taken motion announcements away which is a bummer

Terrible you ho through the steps way too quick

I bought Echo Show5 because I thought I could view the Front Door ASAP but that isn’t the case so I felt it’s a waste. Alexa will inform when there’s a motion but not show Live View. You have to take an extra step and ask Alexa to “show me the front door”, by then all you see is the front view and the person is already gone. So Whats the point?
