The DJI RC Pro has been a great improvement in my flight experience with my DJI drones. In this video I show how to bind it to the DJI Air 2S for the first time. I also take the opportunity to fly around Kleiner Park. The RC Pro is available on Amazon here via my affiliate link:

I’ve had an Air 2S since they came out, but never did like flying it with my phone as the screen was too dim. Living in Texas, the phone got hot pretty quick, and the screen was unusable. The RC Pro bought new life to the Air 2S, and now it is a joy to use. The screen as nice and bright, and I can now see what I’m doing. If you have an Air 2S, I suggest upgrading the controller instead of the drone.

Hi Marcus......Enjoyed the video.....Thanks for sporting our drone combo....LOL. I have thoroughly enjoyed Air 2S with RC Pro. All the RTH I've ever done have been spot on the money....I just checked my controller and it's telling me to update for the remote ID. I heard the Air 2S was among the drones that could be updated through firmware instead of having to get a dongle of sorts. ...😎

Hi Marcus. I always enjoy your flights at Julius Kleiner Park. Taking us through things that you do for the first time is a real plus. Binding the controller to the drone and letting us see the pitfalls you encounter is very instructive. I liked seeing the emergence of fall colors like we are having here. It’s been a while, but had to stop by when I saw the Air2S was featured. Hope your doing well. Great bird and the RC Pro looks pretty good as well. Had to see if it was compatible with my Air 2, but saw the price and decided to stick with my Smart Controller 😮😮😮 Oh well. As always, thanks for sharing and stay safe‼️. P.s. Regarding your future comparison, in my world the Air2S would come out on top. It’s just in the perfect position regarding specs, performance and price. Now, if sub-250g is a must then it’s a different story.

Nice content... Thanks Marcus. Just recently upgraded from the Air 2 to 2S (from a member of the drone community) and I love it. So much more than the Air 2; but spoiled by the battery time of the Mini 3 Pro! I will be upgrading to the RC Pro too, after I do Basketball and Soccer team pics later this month. Also... The binding also happened..Air 2S needed to be removed from the previous owner's DJI account.

So nice Marcus, to see that rc pro link up easily. DJI does a good job at droning. It is so nice to see that older bird fly. I like it but having the Mavic Pro 2 Hasselblad, but now using that mini 2 pro camera has become pretty amazing to me. I got a copy of Adobe Premiere Pro and the D-Cinelike has been incredible and easier that any other software I have seen. I have become familiar with the technology that that 3 has and have been amazed at the power of the 48 megapixel imges at about 97 MB file!!! I have also done some video color grading as well but photoshop latest version has done wonders on just images. I have become well read on what that camera does and always thought the 3 makes 4 images stitched as the air 2s does but I was very wrong as it is just one giant image!!! If I were you I would keep that little compass on in the lower left because many times like you I am not even close to pointing the controller at the drone. For some reason the mini 3 has become a real distancer as over 1 mile now for some reason. DJI must have fixed something as each upgrade seems to make the connection better but no word except :better flight performance. Well not sure but longer means better when closer to me, LOL. Ray C

@@IdahoQuadcopter For me and a lot of others the fly app crashes a lot, on v1.74 I had it crash about ten times back to back, never lost control thankfully. Others are saying v1.75 did not fix it. I am back on v!.70 now and no major problems.

We haven't heard anything yet about the successor to the Air 2s. I wonder if there will be an Air 3, or maybe DJI will just sell the Mavic 3 Classic instead. Should be interesting to see what happens.

I may see the Mini 2 and get the Mini 3 Pro. How easy is it to switch from one drone to the other with the RC Pro???

great video. thanks. i followed ur process of binding my air2s to RC pro and i get this message, can u please help. please note earlier i had connected my air2s to the RC-N1 that came with the air2s kit. the message i am getting is: connected device not bound to aircraft. you may continue flying with the connected device 5 times(s). connect to ur bound device: Remote controller (SN:3QDZJ****76KP) to continue or perform the following steps 1. Change Bound Device 2. Unbind Device 3.Cancel also if i cancel, then i can still use my drone with the RC Pro. am confused what this message is and should I continue using it. thanks for your help

Yes, just click okay to bind your drone to the new controller. Really, that's just about DJIs care refresh for the drone.

@@IdahoQuadcopter thank you. u mean option 1 - Change Bound Device? When I click that, and try to bind, I get another error - "Aircraft Bound to another account, Change Account and try (-53268). I changed acct login to both the email IDs - the only ones I used ever - and I still get the same caution messages.

Just bought the new fly more combo with the air2s and the RC pro controller. Is a nice uograde from the original fly more combo with the default controller. Only upgraded because my stuff was stolen :(
