This app would be much better if it had a histogram during live view shooting. Another feature wished for is in-app focus bracketing. As it is, the Camera Connect app is a good, but very basic app that could be much improved.

I have a 1300D and an up to date android phone and the latest version of the app, but the app doesnt fully connect to the camera. It shows the canera on the screen but it then gets stuck and can't connect for the photos. Previously I didnt have any issues.

Thanks. Reliability of the Bluetooth connection for geotagging is modest. Very often the app keeps sending previous GPS coordinates and not the current one. This could be easily prevented by minor changes in the app: - by constantly checking that the current GPS coordinates on the phone (as displayed in the Compass app in iOS) match the coordinates sent to the camera - by sending a notification on the phone when a mismatch is detected Probably 10-20 lines of code that would dramatically improve the usability and utility of the Camera Connect app. Please either keep improving this app or embed GPS hardware into top R system cameras. This no longer works for some reason. I can select the camera I want to register, and it is connected to the iPhone but no other options appear after that. It stays stuck on the screen showing I'm connected to the 5D M4

Exact same problem, extremely frustrating as I’ve been out doing photos for Margate carnival I need to send through WhatsApp. It worked fine before until I updated it today

Is there a way to make this app actually work like it’s supposed to 100% of the time. Every time I try to use it I have to reconnect multiple times then give up. Really don’t like the app at all

I’ve had the camera 3 years or so and now the app says must register first time users and has long steps that is just horrible Now I come on here and find out it’s not working anymore. Why should this be left broken so irresponsible

ALL other Camera Manufacturers dont make a SECRET out of it! this is the same rediculous as not allowing 3. Party Lens Manufacturers to make affordable GLASS...Canon is not doing itself any favors...medium to long term view, most Users change to OTHERS...😜

Tried to get this working numerous times on my 80D and it’s just a waste of time. It says it’s so simple but it just isn’t. When it works it’s great but I want to use the technology to take pictures not absorb time. Sorry but it’s a no from me.

Find it incredibly frustrating to have to transfer via wifi - I prefer using a usb cable as it's instant. I need instant upload for work - since switching to iPhone, I can no longer transfer via cable. It sucks my mobile data so much, and is incredibly slow and often doesn't connect. Wish I could go back to using a cable to upload but it seems impossible.

Totally agree. Fastest way to upload is taking the SD or CF cards out and plugging them into a reader. The speed of the fast CF cards I use are mindblowing. Forget wifi. And yes I miss the USB cable too.

I can connect my Bluetooth ear bud to my phone and listen to music; I can't use this Canon app. Too convoluted and confusing to set up and use. Buyer beware! Canon: you need to make this no more than three taps to connect... and make the camera pair with devices more easily and automatically.
