UPDATE: you DONT need any of those trash turtle beach or Xbox adaptors. All you need is an aux cord, the usb mic with a headphone jack, and a splitter. It works with my series x controller. Just saved u $40-$50

@@ngltgoatcrew9735 possibly. I have a cheap fifine mic that was $50 but it has the gain and mute button/headphone jack. Make sure you go to the audio and music setting and make sure headphone mic is on, as I’ve heard some people say it’s required.

It is stupid. There cutting corners so they don’t have to spend money on the software to let the Xbox’s recognize the usb mic as a audio input and work. So they don’t spend an extra fraction of money for our convenience. I also bet it’s to keep you from buying other stuff for your Xbox so instead you’ll buy Xbox made products

Long story short, I play on console and getting a PC in the future. Bought some good headphones, but they do not have a mic and need an amp to make them louder. I just bought a Fosi Audio Q4 Headphone Amplifier. Will I be able to connect an external mic, like the ones you suggested for xbox one x? Also, since you seem to know a lot about audio on console, will that DAC/AMP work on xbox one x?

Hi I want to buy a USB hub for my series s but I don't know which kind of USB ports should I get. I've read that the console has three 3.1 Gen 1 ports, buying a 3.2 usb ports hub's would make things faster or it would just not work?

Great video! bought pretty much everything on here, I'm not sure how to fix the problem and it make be something on twitch cause the mic works great in party chat but i noticed on my stream my audio sounds gainy or like its breaking up, its not terrible but its noticeable. like i said might be a twitch thing but any suggestions? im still working out the setting to see if i can fix it but any tips would be helpful :)

So I use the twitch app on the Xbox to stream. The app allows you to include the party chat audio if everybody clicks to allow it to record their voice. However, when I mute my headset, my viewers and stream can no longer hear me. So I was wondering based on my setup, If i used another USB mic plugged into my computer and also use my headset mic, would it be receiving double voices from me?

Hey I kinda have a problem I want a mic to have on my Xbox and I have a headset for my pc but I only use that for audio since my parents make me not use headphones if I want to do voice chat. I have a steel series arctis 3 headset will I be able to use an auxiliary cord to plug into the spare 3.5mm headset jack on the headset? Then the other side I plug into the controller? Will that not confuse the sound input and therefore will let me be able to keep my gaming headset whilst using a microphone?

Worked fine for me. Xbox stereo adapter only if your controller is uncabled. Mine always plugged as i play with K&M. I use a gaming headset HyperX with mic turned off, works! Be sure to plug the mic usb plug not in the console or you might experience weird sound. 😊

I'm planning on getting the razer game capture to record my games on but I'm wondering if I got the razer siren x mic would people in my party chat be able to hear me? I wasn't sure if the mic got plugged into the game capture to capture my audio. I'm sorry if that sounds confusing, I'm basically wanting to be able to record games with audio like gaming channels, that's what I'm trying to get my channel to. thank you for the help in advance!

In the splitter can I run a 3.5mm mic no usb and the other 3.5mm jack on the splitter going to a speaker? So I can hear friends out the speaker but I can talk to them through the mic .. i.e I don't need to wear headphones

So here's my questions man.. (great video too btw) So I use keyboard and mouse for fortnite on the series x. And I want to use something like the dt990 with a microphone. I have a multi USB adapter so I can use the keyboard and mouse but it's got 4 ports. Can I plug in the microphone to that and then plus the headset into the gaming monitor and do it this way? I'm on the UK so different brands here. But I'm assuming if I get one with the audio controls I should be able to plug and play everything yes?

Is this only viable for party chat or does it work in general game chat as well? For example, when I join a Fortnite Lobby with friends who are on PS, I will still be able to talk to them without being in an Xbox party.

I only tried party chat. Xbox is already difficult as it is for USB mics. I wouldn’t recommend trying game chat with this many adaptations. if you do try it lmk & I can try and look into it

I hate how you didn't get a reply back with an answer from anyone let alone the creator of this video lol. I have the blue yeti mic and the only way you can make it work without having the earphones on your head is by going on the setting- volume&sound- additional opinions and then change party chat output to the speakers that way you'll still be able to use the mic and still hear what your squad is saying in the chat. Edit: YES YOU STILL NEED THE AUDIO ADAPTER FOR THE XBOX CONTROL TO PLUG IN THE CABLE FOR THE MIC ETC... THATS ONE REASON XBOX IS KINDA LAME BUT THERE IS A WAY TO HEAR THE CHAT WITHOUT HAVING YOUR HEADPHONES ON YOUR HEAD.🤦🏽 🙏🏽💪🏽🔥

So heres an AWESOME work around. I use with my elgato. Go into your settings on xbox (audio settings) and make it to where your party audio is output to your speaks (tv speakers) it will sound the same in your headset and the party chat will be picked up in your elgato, this bypasses the need for an adapter without affecting quality in anyway. There is an option to use speaker and headset output, ive never had any luck with this, it always ruins my audio quality.

Hi. When I hook it all then plug the mics USB in, it works for about a second, and I can hear myself in the mic monitoring, then it stops and won't work until I unplug and plug it in again.

Xbox series x does allow u to mic monitor through in system settings just like the ps5 so u can lower the mic volume all the way up and down as well as the volume from in system settings.

Mic monitoring has nothing to do with how loud u sound to other people all it does it changes if you can hear yourself when you speak, and also a side note to the creator the rode nt usb does not allow you to control how loud ur microphone is, it only allows you to change how loud the audio monitoring is for the microphone 🎤

The Turtle Beach Adapter on a Fifine is CHALKED fam. I’ve tried numerous times on plenty of Fifine models like the k668, k670, & k678 I even tried a T series one. NOTHING lol. I think it’s because it’s more of a budget generic brand.
