On my Samsung Q70 I had to enable "HDMI-CEC" before the ARC option even showed up in my TV sound settings. External device settings on the TV - enable HDMI-CEC. Then arc also appeared in the list of sources on the soundbar also.

Great review. I was wondering if you or anyone in the comment section could help me with my setup? I recently bought an X-Box SX and was playing it for a few months before I decided to buy the LG C1 TV to handle the 4k @ 60/120 output. I noticed that one of the hdmi ports was earc with I had no clue what it was until I did a little research. Now I’m thinking about getting the Vizio M 5.1.2 soundbar to complete my set up and want to know your/anyones thoughts before I buy it. I also had a connectivity question. The XBox outputs Dolby Atmos so am I supposed to connect it with the hdmi 2.1 it came with in one of the regular hdmi 2.1 port or in the earc port? And if so how will I connect the soundbar hdmi earc to the TV if the Xbox is already using the port. So basically I have 3 devices and need to know which I connect to which for best results

How do I connect my xbox series s to my samsung a40m soundbar if my xbox doesn't have a optical cable input? That's what the cable is called. I have both a power cable and a optical cable that came with the soundbar and subwoofer. So how do I hook it up? And what does the optical cable do?

I have Xbox SX & Samsung 4k TV & Samsung Soundbar. I started having issues this week for some reason with my sound ONLY when I'm on xbox. Sometimes it'll work sometimes it will shut off. I'll be on Netflix then close out and go to RU-vid and the sound is gone. Went to TV settings and did am audio test and the soundbar works but when I go back to my xbox it is silent. I have my xbox cable plugged into my TV hdmi 1, soundbar has an HDMI cord in the arc of soundbar running into my arc port on tv, I also have an optical cord plugged into soundbar and TV. When I try plugging my xbox into my soundbar, I lose 4k capabilities but I'm able to game at 120hz but all of the sound features become available like Dolby atmos etc. I'm at a loss lol any help would be appreciated

We have hooked up the Xbox Series X directly to the hdmi in port on the soundbar, then used a separate hdmi cable to connect the soundbar and tv ARC input and outpout. The question we have is, how do you then see the video for the Xbox? All we see on the tv is the soundbar connected to the ARC port and no option to see the Xbox screen. Are we missing something? We’ve tried different HDMI cables and same problem. We are able to connect Xbox HDMI to regular HDMI input on TV, then Soundbar ARC to TV ARC no problem, but would like to be able to connect Xbox directly to Soundbar for optimal sound. Thanks!

I am planning to get a soundbar, I have a question regarding the setup: Xbox Series X which runs at 4K/120Hz and Dolby Vision or HDR on LG Nanocell TV I'd like to purchase a soundbar now. If I am not mistaken, ARC or eARC should do the trick The connection would be like this Xbox Series X -> LG Nanocell TV (HDMI 2.1 Port) and then LG Nanocell TV -> Soundbar (z.B. LG SPD7Y) (HDMI 2.1 eArc) In theory my TV should then still show the 4K/120Hz form the Xbox but the sound should come out of the soundbar (if set right in the TV) Am I correct?

Hi guys, Great video! To make sure I got this right if I’m the type of user who is not a gamer and want the best audio(Dolby) and video. I have a sound bar with 1x HDMI input port and 1x HDMI eARC port. I would connect the TV and the sound bar using the HDMI eARC ports on each device. Then I connect my Apple TV 4K to the sound bar HDMI in port. Worth nothing that the sound bar is a 4K pass through sound bar. Is this the correct set up?

We’d probably have opted to connect Apple TV to the TV. But, if your happy with your current setup then maybe just leave it as is ? We don’t know all the specs on your equipment so it’s a bit of a challenge to make a certain call on the optimal set up

Okay I'm looking at a Samsung HW A600 soundbar and it has hdmi input and output which my question is will this allow me to hook from my soundbar to my 28 inch gaming monitor that doesn't have arc or optical?

So I have a monitor and I use my headset for audio can I just plug a HDMI splitter to the Xbox out put and use 2 HDMI cords to connect a sound bar and my monitor all to the Xbox HDMI out put

@@Allabouthomeelectronics ya but see other videos and this one I think tells me I need a ARC cord and my monitor or Xbox doesn’t have on ARC out let so I’m stumped 🤔 unless u can make it work with out a ARC system and just HDMI
@Allabouthomeelectronics
@Allabouthomeelectronics Год назад
Ok, so, 1st, we thought we lost this particular comment thread. Took a bit but we found it once again :). We believe you (can) use a splitter AND hook up a soundbar; you'd simply want to use known working HDMI cords (generally, ie, not super old, just invented, first rendition HDMI cords although they might still work too.) If you are searching the ARC topic for the gear set up you describe you might be searching the wrong topic. "might" means probably; we don't believe ARC plays any role in the gear you are describing. Oh, and, we've hard core gamed; introducing a splitter will cause millisecond latency delays in your gaming experience so if you know split seconds count then, well, now you know.

So basically if you upgraded your Xbox expect to need to upgrade your TV as well if it's not already. Coulda saved me a lot of time just saying hey you with tv that has no hdmi (arc) port, you're screwed.
